The fact that players on opposing teams are talking about all of the mins our startes play in a game goes to show that this is defintely a 'thing', and is not a non-issue. This is clearly on the scouting report....Wear us down and make a push in the 4th quarter. I saw a stat that we are top 10-12 defensively, in the first half. Then fall to 27th, defensively in the 4th quarter. Fatigue is defiinetly a factor....

We’re back to the minutes debate. I’m sick of it after four seasons covering Tom Thibodeau. But we’re back here, predictably, because Thibs is Thibs and his roster this season is so top heavy it could tip with a strong enough injury wind.

Perhaps this analogy I’ve picked up about Thibodeau describes the situation best:

If you give him a life raft to a basketball victory, he’ll use it.

If you give him a life raft that’s veering away from victory for the sake of safety, he’s jumping off the other side of the boat without a preserver and probably hollering at a referee on the way down.

That’s the Thibs Way, and frankly, fans should embrace it. Winning games, despite what you may have learned from the New York Giants’ retention decisions, is important in sports.

What evidence do you have that playing second round picks like Huk is a good thing versus what they have been doing?

Is it better long term, meaning second half of season, to keep the rookies learning until they get to a certain level? Rookies normally hit a wall. Exposure to NBA level defenses and offenses is tough. What is the normal ramp up time for non elite rookies? Why wouldn't you have them progress through GLeague?

There are benefits and downsides to both decisions. You keep assuming that Thibs is wrong after he and staff are watching the kids in practice every day. Why are YOU assuming they can be accomplished playing 10 minutes per and that benefit outweighs what they are going through?
