We never defended the 3 well. This has been my issue with Thibs defense for years. You look at the years of low 3pt percentages against us and people don't realize they missed a lot of wide open 3's. Guess what, teams are hitting them now.

Exactly...we have given up a ton of open 3s over the years...however, I will give Thibs props for adjusting in the 2nd quarter. I noticed Sims and Towns weren't playing as much drop coverage and they were trying to blitz the PNR and chase them off the 3 point line....would like to see more of this.

Thibs has always given up the 3s in favor of rim protection. Problem now is we don’t defend the 3 or have rim protection/rebounding.

Celts on pace to score 100 of their pts from 3. Not gonna beat them from the 3pt line.. but you have to defend it better.
