Good effort to come back. Not a great look to drop this one with no Luka, but its hard to win on the road.

Mavs took 35 seconds off before they made that 2 after missing 3 times. That was a killer

Things happen. Sometimes you lose to the shell of Memphis, sometimes you beat the Knicks while undermanned. At least it wasn't the worse loss of the night.

I am glad we lost. We got too high. We fit better but we are not a contender yet. We still have holes to fill. So many on social meda was already counting this as a win. We are not there yet to be so confident.Like Alhpa said, Rose still has work to do.

I totally understand. I guess you can say I am not happy we lost the singular game but when talking about overall this is good. Sometimes you need a reality check. Losing to the Mavs without Luka and their good center they tanked our pick for is a reality check.The FO might have put a halt on making a big move if they thought we was already contenders. Everything still needs to be on the table.

What a complete **** game - no D, dumb errors all over the place - garbage offense (actually zero offense) and Thibs waits for 2 mins left to try to double Kyrie.

Oh and the great T Hardaway goes off on Knicks once again.

What did we miss? Kyrie gets to go off and be Kyrie if healthy. Hew was the best player on the court.

True, at 55mil he’d been a steal.
Instead they have Kyrie who is nuts. But if focused and not distracted by things, one hell of a player.
He is in year two of a three year deal and thus far has not gone off the rails.
Not saying Brunson is anything lessor then the great knick he is. Just saying for now Kyrie is doing his job as he supposed to. ANd last night he carried the team. For one night. THats all.

Frustrating loss. Didn't see it going this way tbh. Not with the way we have been playing. We came out flat and looked like the December Knicks on defense. Just low energy and lack of effort. I thought this was going to be one of those insane 40-50 points game from Brunson but he started out slow and played awful defense. Like he didn't respect and underestimated both Green and Hardy. He got it going in the second half and made some clutch plays in the 4th to spark the comeback. Kudos to the team for the comeback. A rebound here or there we might have won this game. No secret I really REALLY dislike Kyrie but give him credit. He was unbelievable. I thought OGA, DVo and Deuce all played good defense on him but it didn't matter. And Tim Sr.'s evil seed also killed us.

Poor game by Deuce. Made two bonehead mistakes getting the ball late to Randle at the end of the quarter and had another play where he just mistimed the set play and got a shotclock violation. Growing pains and he'll learn and get better. Achiuwa had his best game and gave us some decent minutes when Hartenstein got into foul trouble. OGA had a quiet game. Didn't limit Kyrie at all and missed most of his corner threes. Randle was a monster in the 3rd but had too many turnovers mainly from offensive fouls. The zebras were awful in this game btw. You know it's true when even Breen complains about it.

But they weren't the reason we lost. Kyrie was just really good and we weren't ready to play this game at the start. Cannot give up 74 points in a half on the road.

Didn't play great but the Mavs came out and didn't miss in the 1st half. The Mavs also counter almost every run. When they popped it back up to 18 again in the 4th I expected the Knicks to go away. I was impressed they didn't just go away. I thought if we weren't going to double Irving playing Deuce and Grimes a little more would have made sense- they are the team's two best POA defenders imo and definitely the best when it comes to screen navigation and staying in front of smaller shifty guards. I hope Deuce can earn a little more trust from Thibs. I think Thibs has a high opinion of him so if he continues to play well I hope he gets a little more rope. Anyway, on to the next one.
