ALL STAR RANDLE
8 assists?

What the hell was DDV doing with those passes and Grimes over dribbling and fumbling. It was an ugly and sloppy win.

But a solid win since we are down 1 major starter in RJ. Solid win

Randle is back!

another dominant game on the boards despite missing RJ and Grimes for a bit. We have a great recipe going on the boards, the best rebounding C duo in the NBA, surrounded by a bunch of smaller guys that just get at it.

We have yet to be outrebounded in a game this season. amazing.

Grimes still looks so nervous on offense to me, still rushing and thinking too much. He's so explosive, if he slows the game down he could be so deadly. for now he's just a 3 & D guy though.

Grimes is playing his way out of the starting unit. His recent barrage of 3s helps, along side DDV TOs and missed layups. I always thought is DDV had a similar Josh hart impact, it would be hard to not start him.

But DDV hasn’t looked great and there’s really nobody else besides IQ that Thibs would start. And I believe Thibs like IQ in the roll hes in now. And maybe with grimes, he rather keep his confidence up by starting him, but finishing with IQ.

If RJ is back, would love to see how RJ and hart looks in that starting unit replacing grines. OR maybe EF gets his starting roll back from the person that sent him to the bench originally.

we need Grimes's shooting and defense in the starting 5, and it helps that he's low usage.

Fun game! Such a joy to hear Gus Johnson!

Safe to say Randle is all the way back. The jumper looks a lot better ever since the Milwaukee game. Favorite stat from him last night was 8 assissts to just 1 turnover. Rob dominated Capela. 15 rebounds total, 6 offensive to Capela's just 3 rebounds, 0 offensive. IQ's 5 straight points in the 4th when we got down was huge! And he hit clutch FT's. Brunson super good as usual. Made all the clutch plays. Big long 3, assists to Hart at the buzzer on that little runner and set up Randle for a running layup and hit the game winner pull up with 20 secs left. Love Thibs' decision to foul and prevent a three at the end. We still gotta clean up the turnovers but we now have 2 wins against a team that we'll be battling for playoff positioning all season.

Fingers crossed Grimes' hand injury isn't too serious. He was starting to come around. And same with RJ. Starting to get worried and hoping it's nothing more than a lingering migraine like they are saying. But good win! Always feels good to beat Trae Young!!

another great thing is we are seeing Brunson turning into a high volume and efficient 3pt shooter, which was one of the slight knocks on him. He's elite in the midrange but being able to hit 3's and hit them at a high clip really adds to his game and takes some of the load off him. He works really hard for those mid range shots sometimes and takes a lot of contact.

Yep - we went from flawless 0 TO 1st quarter to 2 1/2 quarters of everyone fumbling/bumbling the ball but we got the W. The 1 TO that got me out of my chair was Randle makes quick reversal pass to open Grimes in corner and instead of pulling open 3 Grimes pump-fakes air (nobody) drives to the hoop and drops bounce pass to absolutely nobody (actually right to Hawk player). Donte is just too hyped up - don’t think he trusts his ability to finish at rim so he is trying to jump over moon.

Yes - predetermining what he is going to do - still 1/2 second too fast in his actions but still love the kid.

Can't wait for the midrange to actually come back for him. Strange how much he is missing but maybe it's the vibes RJ is enjoying too much

Grimes is still on the ramp up phase of his career. I think game will slow down for him this year. Let's see. If not, he's a solid trade asset in a crowded backcourt.

Anyone have an update on his hand injury? The foul didn't look that hard to me.
