Jacob Toooin I watched his last game. He scored 30 and was not a ball hog. He scored in the flow of the offense and he moved the ball and constantly moves. Sort of like Obi with above the rim Athletic ability. His 3 pt shot has improved at least in the g league. Heck worth bringing him up to practice with the big club. His defense is good per Thibs.

How did his shot look? That’s his biggest weakness I think.

And thanks for the update

His shooting looked easy and smooth to me. What impressed me was he was not hogging the ball or forcing shots. He got shots after several passes and took his shot. He might be one of those type of players who Miami always finds and adds to the rotation, if he was on Miami. Will he get a shot with the Knicks ?

Well Jacob said his game is not like his brother. Jacob is a defender and mid range shooter. Their athleticism is where they are similar. This is what I see and what Jacob talks about. He’s faced with that question all the time and often compared to his brother which probably hurts his stock. I believe he’s better and just need PT.

They're both athletic freaks but Jacob is more of a defender and a role player on offense. Where Obi can be a scoring prime option, or was in College. I'm excited about him. Westch water has him in the corner ready to shoot so Thibs knows where to park him.

His shot was smooth and his handle is tight, but is it NBA tight? He is very light and has hops.
He is built like a wing.
Hard for me to say even in person decipher if he is NBA ready.

Isiah Robey? He had an awful first half. Had open looks at the top of the key and could not hit one. At 6-10 he has an NBA build and solid core to play the 5.
Perhaps his future if he has one is at the 5?
Jamal Bey? Smooth stroke from the left corner. Undrafted.
Obi Noel, sneaky 22 pts.

Unless Toppin is going to be in rotation he is better off playing in Westchester.

Trade for Tari Eason before he does was Jalen Johnson did and improve. I'd give Houston a very good offer for him if we go young. Tari Eason is the young buck we should overpay for before we can't afford him. Future OG if he works with Thibs. Tari Eason is the 3/4 we need.

Anyone else see Hart’s comments? Seems as though he is displeased with being the backup PF

I personally think they should shift RJ to the 2 and start Hart at the 3

Kai Jones is still out of the NBA after being waived by the Hornets for what I believe were either immaturity issues or some other non disclosed issue that he is reportedly been getting help with.

He is 22 years old, 6'-10" and plays PF/C. An added bonus is that he was selected with the NY Knicks 19th pick in 2021 and traded to the Hornets. I think the Lakers checked in on his availability not to long ago and he was not ready to return to the NBA or the Lakers weren't that interested, dunno what happened there. I'm not advocating, just saying this kid is out there and was a Knick for like 5 minutes

So what whackadoodle personality defect did he demonstrate that he got freaking waived on?
I mean you gotta really try hard to get waived this early in a career on a guaranteed deal.
If he could not cut in Charlotte, what will Knicks under Thibs feel like for him?
That was our pick they used in 2021, correct?

Again what would the harm be taking Kai waiving Ryan, Windler, or Jeffries ?

I think Windler can actually play. A wing with size who can rebound and shoot. I would rather take a chance on that than Kai. Kai give all sorts of red flags. I agree with you on Jeffries and Ryan. But those guys have two of the most important people on the team (JB and Thibs) backing them.

Windler is insurance for when Evan is traded 😆. We have redundancy every where but the forward spots

None for this fan. I asked a question and you replied with another?
If you want to pretend to be a FO type, what was up with Kai that got him bounced from a **** team and how does he fit with us? You know, Thibs likes guys that work hard and mentally tough and can take the riding he gives them.
As for fondness for Tari Eason who is clearly on your mind, can you tell us why he is expendable with his team currently and their depth, and what can we offer that makes it worth their while?

I stated my opinion the Knicks could take a flier on someone. If not Kai then why not Bol Bol or Garuba for the vet min... Knicks talk themselves out of low risk moves. Have ignored depth at the wing and PF spot but sign Windler, Ryan, and Jeffries. Help me make sense of this... They talk themselves out of moves why what's going on in the front office do they need 100 percent agreement amongst the members of the brain trust ? Does no one want to be blamed for a mistake ? Lakers signed Cam and Christian Wood on vet contracts while having AD, Lebron, Rui, Vanderbilt, and Prince in their front court already. And they are even utilizing them. While our team won't trade, won't take chances on any forward when we are weak depth wise there.

You are wondering why the Knicks wouldn't take a flier on the likes of Cam Reddish?

You are just throwing names out there?
