I’ll take a playoff win. That’s a step forward.

Yup, second round would be good for me. Something to build on.

When the hornets have puberty their not bad. It gave them 3 scorers and give them credit they played great defense.
Knicks played one great q. Shots were short from everyone —- good d with some fatigue. This was the game to win but that’s ok.

This lost confirms who we are. A team that can beat any team in the nba and lose to any team in the nba.

G-League. We lost to a bunch of glorified G-Leaguers tonight. 😞

This makes 0 sense to me.

We've just won like 5/6 @ home.

And don't let our road record fool you.

We're below .500 on the road vs. winning above .500 teams.

And come Playoff time?

We won't be playing against any below .500 teams on the road.

it wasn't some fatigue, it was major feet in cement, I am not closing out on the 3pt attempt, i can't get the lose ball.

Nope.

Knicks don't fall for trap games anymore.

Not happening.

Because NY's got an absolutely amazing Head Coach who keeps his kids focused (heading into every game).

Tom Thibs and his players are all dialed in right now.

Knicks over Charlotte tonight and by over 40+-50+ points too (NBA SLAUGHTERING).

QUOTED FOR TRUTH:

👇

NYKMentality wrote:21-21 after 1 Quarter.

Offense didn't come out flat it's just our shots weren't falling (8/22 @ 36%).

But as long as our D keeps playing elite, our Offense will soon catch 🔥 and we'll blow Charlotte out the waters from here on out.

Now look.

45 2nd quarter points off of 16/20 @ 80%?!?!?!?

Halftime:
New York = 66 (+16).
Hornets = 50 (-16).

Destroy Charlotte 3rd/4th Q's as they just did 2nd Q and it's a 40+ blowout win for these Knicks tonight.

NYKMentality wrote:Isn't the blowout I was visioning (because of an atrocious 3rd Q) but nonetheless...

End of 3rd Q
NYK 89.
CHA 87.

Gotta win the 4th Q secure home court and win this game.

NYKMentality wrote:You know what?

I don't even care we lost tonight without Jalen Brunson.

💔 Heartbroken to know we (finally) lost a game (since Josh Hart) but I'm extremely proud of these kids + Coach Thibs for not only that 9 game winning streak but also for bringing us so much joy.

Big 4 game road trip coming up in order to get back on track.

This is all you need for a full game recap (of an emotional Knick fan).

Loss was a team effort

A lot of guys played very sub par and didn’t make up for it with effort or the small plays

Best thing is to shake it off and start another W streak

9 game winning streak snapped 😢

Don't be too hard in yourself. Just learn from this game and think about ways NYKMentality can improve as a game thread creator. Even if it's the smallest improvement. Before long you'll be game threading the Knicks to a title.

Nothings wrong.

I'm as excited as an NYK fan as ever before.

Knicks are 12-3 previous 15 @ .800% and 9-1 previous 10 @ 900%.

You didn't post not 1 time within this game thread but then took the time to quote me (while having fun during our 9 game winning streak) with your very 1st post of this thread?

(Jokes on you).

So once again, nothings "the matter" other than me realizing what type of "fan" you are.

9-0 must've had you PISSED OFF 😭🤷‍♂️😂

Thibs is literally saying Jesus phucking Christ RJ everyone gets this but you

Good pic;

Looking forward to a big night for the bench. I see Hart and IQ having big games

RJ hive about to swarm you but I got your back man lol

R.J.'s only 22 years old but already averaging 20 Points per Game (19.6).

And more importantly, R.J. Barrett is now shooting .470% {40/85} since dating back to All-Star break (6-0).

He's also coming off a huge game @ Boston with 29 Points/11 Rebounds/3 Assists/1 Steal/1 Block + 50 Minutes of grind (Overtime x2).

R.J. might go off for 40+ tonight.

Teams want (desire) us to play thru RJ because the entire offense bogs down and we return to the 1940’s and very short satin shorts.

Yup and so have 12/15 @ .800% of other recent game threads I've shown excitement within.

My 17 Josh Hart posts before his 1st ever Knicks game (trade) have aged really well too 😎

This should have been the game where Thibs went deep into the bench. Robinson looked cooked by the 4the quarter, Randle in the second half. That 3Rd was a bad bad omen I would have loved to see McBride get the game ball- he was playing great. Rose and Fournier should have been used to give the offense a lift. Sims rebounding, maybe that double center lineup with him and Hartenstein. Tough loss.

You read my mind, this exactly what I was going to post. F it, get Fournier in there for some scoring ,maybe Rose as well. We do have some hungry players on the bench, Simms could have brought some energy. Deuce could have used more minutes as well.

Everything you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear- George Adair

If they are to survive and thrive a playoff series they need to bounce back. Not like they had a back to back.
They have to learn how to succeed despite fatigue.

And there are lessons still to be learned for the young guys.
