Randle should not be dribbling into traffic in crunch time. When thats your best option thats all you got.
Was Amare’s turnover in traffic problematic on the knicks? BUt it was not on the Suns?
Randle is no Amare, but Miller job is to not put him in these situations and Knicks need better talent (talk about obvious).
Delete Randle and who is putting up those numbers in his place?

Yeah there's no one on the current roster replacing his numbers. My hope is this summer we move him and replace his numbers with a perimeter oriented player like Gallinari (FA) or Hield (via trade.) Someone who will average 20 ppg. My expectation is Barrett jumps to a 20 ppg player next year too.

Definitly an intangibles guy. Makes other players better with nice cuts and sweet passes and being in the right position to get a key rebound. (He's also still just getting comfortable with the Knicks schemes.) No wonder he started on the Clips.

I'll put it out there... If I had a choice to resign Maurice to a $12M per contract - and there is no real need to, just hypothetical - versus resigning Morris to $15M+, I would sign Mau as of today. More of a role player who won't take touches away from young guys but still would add value to rotation.

I like Moe alot- he just has a positive impact on the game, and he is the right side of 30 - so if you are signing someone to a 2-4 year type deal, I like Morris, but I would take Moe if those are the kinds of $ figures you are looking like - totally agree.

Honestly though he could trade Randle for a matching expiring and sign Gallinari to replace him and make no other major moves and I think our fan base would consider it good progress.

C Mitch
F Gallinari
F Harkless (bring back on a 1 year deal)
G Barrett
G Cole Anthony or Haliburton

wondering how much value Randle really has. I would do it in a heartbeat... OKC though?

Would Barrett have gotten the last shot or as many shots with Morris in the fold (and 1 less draft pick?)?

Shots per game as a Knicks player:

Morris: 14.8
Moe: 6

The best part of that sequence was when Frank ran to RJ to get the ball...RJ brushed him off and he said he got this. The fact that both Frank and RJ wanted the ball in crunch time made a little giddy. That drive though was bully ball at its finest.

That's been his style of play since high school. He has a knack for finishing layups a high percentage, and he's great at utilizing the back board on almost all his layups (especially in traffic).

Once he gets the perimeter game and FT% up, he's going to be a top 10 scorer in this league.

I think a cross between Jalen rose and paul george

Great win. Was one of the best games to be a Knick fan in some time. The young kids played awesome. RJ looked like the real deal. So composed and confident. Looked like more than I expected in his first year. Mitch is having a nice streak of games. Has been staying out of foul trouble and always high impact. Frank had a great game. Hit shots he was supposed to hit and had another aggressive game. Great defense on Westbrook at the end of the game. Ellington looked like a must keep 6th man. Sharp shooter with infinite range. See why he takes the shots he does. Moe had a nice game. Played solid defense and had clutch baskets down the stretch. Portis had a solid game as well.

Would agree the only thing that would have made this even nicer was if Knox got more minutes and Randle had less.
I know he is also a young player but Randle really needs to work on setting others up and better court vision/awareness during the off season. Would also be nice to see Trier in more. Think he deserves it.

As we saw last night, our young guys playing lots of minutes does not mean we will lose. Hopefully Payton, Randle, Taj, Portis and Bullock don't continue to take minutes from the young guys. Have a couple of the ones that have it going out there with them for support.

slow evolution of the young kids and they are all 21 or younger. For comparison, Steph, Klay, Green were 21, 21, 22 in their first years. RJ, Knox, Frank, Mitch are 19, 20, 21, 21.

Will Mitch ever take a jumper? Will he ever make one? Can Frank keep this up and stay healthy? Last night was certainly a glass half full game. If Frank can ever establish some reliable offense the Frank/RJ combo has great potential for a backcourt that can really get after you on both ends of the floor
