Jees if he cant practice he cant play--Knicks hiding injury. I really hoped they checked him out before making him the draft pick. The hip is a VERY tough spot on an athlete. remember Bo Jackson built like an absolute tank--hip injury ended him at young age.

He did say he expects to play on Saturday though. If you can't trust the knicks when it comes to reporting player injuries, who can you trust?

Seems like they are holding him out of two a day practices, but he will practice tonight

I am sure that the knicks were not smart enough to check him out before picking him.

They already have a pair of titanium "Terminator style" hip replacement sets ready for the July 25th operation which will follow the Summer League season.

Johnson vs Winslow

At least so far, it would seem that Detroit made the right choice.

Stanley Johnson has that very strange looking release on his shot, but at least in SL, he's been able to get it off and hit his jumpers with great frequency.

Up until now, Winslow has shown a lot of versatility in terms of what he can do, but his jumper, the issue I questioned him on, has been a disaster so far, and they have not gotten him into position to get many open looks.

He will have some issues if he can't adjust and hit some pull-ups, a shot he was abysmal with last year. This is clearly something that Johnson has worked on, and it shows.

I continue to believe that both OK4 and Winslow did not do the kind of pre-draft work that so many players seem to have done with great success. Have no proof- but I think that both of them suffered in the draft because they did not address their weaknesses in the months leading up to draft night.

I would potentially cast a vote that Okafor was one of the most underwhelming players here. And youre right Winslow did not shoot it well. He DID drive it but can he do that in the NBA? I really liked Joe Young--how he played. He was under control and was a willing passer showing PG skills yet he a high tier shooter(I think hes a 40%+ 3 pt shooter) and 90% FT shooter. He also is adept at getting to the hole. Hes very quick and his athleticism is vastly under rated. Id be thrilled if our 4 and 19 picks play ANYWHERE near Indiana's 11 and 43 pick

Currently on. Plane to vegas (wifi). Lots of nba exec types on this flight.
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Could you start talking loudly to the person next to you about how good Calderone is?

Orlando got a good player with Tyler Harvey. Hes going to be like a taller Patty Mills off the bench and he has the potential to one day be an NBA starter.

WCS was ok not bad not great. Had a few put banks slams. His defense had little effect--just as I imagined. Once guys are your own size and you dont have 6 buddies who are taller than your opponent--things change just a bit. But he was good.

Norman Powell the guy I wouldve take at 35 he looks a little like Russell Westbrook to be honest.
