Per @AdamZagoria, Raymond Felton faces 2 charges, worst a Class D. Good news for RF since judge has sentencing discretion, not min 3.5 yrs. I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

![]() If it's a D class felony, the top charge is probably 265.02 Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. D FELONY
http://ypdcrime.com/penal.law/article265.htm#p265.01b since it looks like an FN 5.7 would be classified as an assault weapon since it's a semiauto pistol with more than 7 rounds mag capacity? Baba Booey 2016 — "It's Silly Season"

Felton was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminal possession of a firearm. Both are felonies in NY. I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

Maximum penalty on Felton's third-degree weapons possession charge is seven years. The minimum sentence is two years. I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

Unless Felton was AKA Ike Turner, I just don't understand this chick singing like a canary to the cops because a dude/husband was cheating on you. I find it hard to believe felton was going to use this gun on her, and 2nd, she had the gun in her possession, so how are you fearing for your life. This woman is nuts.. ES

![]() Anyone else seen this woman. She's only 26, very pretty and she's a law student. My guess is that she's probably smart and the last woman you'd want to have angry at you. Woman are usually more apt to plan a way to hurt you if they're bitter and her being a law student doesn't help. I don't think she's crazy. I think she's calculating. Maybe Felton got caught fooling around on her. Whatever the situation, he left himself open and she took full advantage. She knew full well how serious this was going to be so, she was really done with him to go this far.

Just 'coz Felton looks like the only thing he'd hurt is a buffet don't mean he don't have some demons or just make bad emotional decisions. Innocent before proven guilty of course, and he didn't get charged with menacing. DA don't try to get bogged down in he said/she said when a possession charge is much easier to prove beyond reasonable doubt to a jury. I was on a Manhattan jury a couple summers ago for a month for a felony case. Really eye-opening to see the system for real and be a part of determining the fate of somebody. Even if she walk in her bedroom and seen him having a threesome, you don't go and take no loaded fkng gun to the police and say here..this is my soon to be x husbands... How do the cops know he had the gun in the house, she brought the gun to the police station. He could say that gun was in alabama in his love pad the last time he saw it, and she has all the motive in the world to want to frame him.. Maybe there's some information that I'm missing, but how can one just walk into a police station and hand in a gun and say it was at my house it's my so an so..I could easily buy a gun from florida bring it to a police station and say here, this was in my house, it my girl friends.. ![]() Why didn't she have a problem with the gun when he was living with her? She could to have felt threatened when she had the gun at her place. Knowing law she knew that he would be screwed for owning a gun in NY in the first place once she brought it to th cops

![]() I hate to say this to a man but I hope we can pull a A-Rod on him, though on a much lower scale (in terms of salary but with a bigger impact because of the way the NBA/new CBA is constructed
ALL for the benefit of the future of The Knicks While the NBA uses Felton to continue to set an example of poor decisions made by Gilbert Areanas, like the MLB is doing on A-Rod/YANKEE's |

He sure has been all messed up mentally so maybe he takes these kinds of things harder than most. He could've threatened her and these days you can't take a chance when someone is acting like they might do something to harm you. In the end it's a messed up situation. Poor decision making on Felton's part. Gotta handle your business properly. NY is no joke when it comes to guns and he really should've registered his gun and kept it with him wherever he's staying as opposed to with her. |

As far as I know her lawyer actually handled the gun and her story was that she was in fear of Felton and that gun. The fact that there is a divorce in process probably helped to make the case to the police. Also I hear that the gun was registered in North Carolina but not in NY. It would be easy to check that and place the blame on Felton as the one who brought it with him to NY and had it in their apartment. |

![]() I thought you couldn't own a gun in NY. Registered or not unless you are in armed security or law enforcement? He should not have brought the gun here. He isn't the only athlete I'm sure

He isn't the only athlete I'm sure Civilians can get gun permits in NYC but it's a lot of red tape and damn near impossible unless you are in politics, a celebrity, rich, or connected. I doubt someone who is in a field where he could be (theoretically) traded out of NYC in a heartbeat could get one. I understand the desire though, with the threat of home invasions. But yea man, if this is all true, he really should have found another way to protect himself. If you are rich: Why drive drunk? Just hire a chauffeur! Or go easy on the sauce. Why risk a weapons charge? Just hire security! Or live a tamer life. Baba Booey 2016 — "It's Silly Season"
