Vastly overrated player. Doesn't mean he is very very good, but unlike baseball, only stats quoted in media in NBA are still very simplisitc (points scored). Efficiency numbers are brutal - he shoots too much, and, no defense expects him ever, ever to pass, so his shots are more contested than they need be.

Pity - amazing talent, but, due to his selfishness, (enabled by Woodson), his isolation - especially at end of game - isn't as successful as it should.

He is a good streak scorer... as a basketball "player" he leaves little to be desired.. IMO...

amazing talent,

I hear some people say that, but tell me, what talent does he have that is amazing? what is amazing about his talents? you just pointed out a ton of flaws that would suggest otherwise..

i might have mentioned this to you before but i think he is comparable to mark aguirre... 'cept nobody has ever claimed that mark aguirre was an amazing talent.

exactly....

oh and i guess it would be a good idea to mention that aguirre was pretty much a "number three option" as a platoon layer on those detroit title clubs... just sayin'!

he was playing a proper role as was adrian Dantley before him in detroit..

so where in an ideal world would he fit best this season... presuming we could trade him... 'cause it sure ain't gonna work here.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Send him to the Bobcats so he can sell tickets for Jordan.

I am stumped.... the problem with carmelo is that he thinks he is an elite player, and he wants to get paid that way. any team he goes to other than the olympic team, he will have a problem.. I don't there is an ideal fit, just need to trade him to another team that is somewhat desperate.. I can see the lakers.. maybe the sac kings.. maybe...

playing here will not make you or break you, it will only expose you for what you are,

Melo is fast approaching Marbury-level. At this rate, guy will end up in China within 3 years
