I liked not making the playoffs!
I enjoyed watching Stat break down after half a season of carrying the team on his aching, creaking knees!
I wish basketball could return to the '70's, when you could sit back and watch teams run the weave!
Who wants to watch last second heroics, and some overpaid, unpure scorer continually just happen to be on a team that improves in record and playoff results each year?

I love to just beeyatch and moan!

I liked building the Knicks the right way.
I didn't like seeing Stoudemire going one-on-three and driving himself into the ground. "carrying" is nonsense and it was not necessary.
I wish ballplayers actually demonstrated respect for the fans by coming to the season in supreme shape, who actually work on footwork and ballhandling and other fundamentals instead of one on one moves that are made easier because the rules around palming and traveling have been drastically loosened, as well as the hand check abolished.
I like genuine playoff players and playoff teams not also rans who merely reach the first round especially since the first round rewards mediocrity and falsely gilds a mediocre player's resume'.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

"right" "genuine" "supreme"

I suppose not making the playoffs and living in the lottery gives you all of what you need. Too bad for you. What will you say about "mediocre gilding" when we make the ECF?

Sad...

Gambling sometimes works. You can win big one night and then you think you are the king of the casino.
And then you will be broke in no time and 100% of the time.
Knicks are gambling away a ton of money (it is Dolan money so I do not care) and what worth a ton of respect and credibility.
The respect and credibility is not easy to get back. So Knick keep gambling the money that is easy to get back (unfortunately).
15 years of gambling and counting... Some guy in casino is always a sucker.

See, right there is the difference. When making the ECF, I'll be saying, "Bring me the Heat Heads!"

If they don't make it, I'll say, "Nice run fellas. This still sure beats the living sheet out of Marbles versus IT and Larry at the Drive-thru."
See how that works? Being a Knicks fan is really not that difficult. And it leaves you with less angst and indigestion than all this anti-homer-at-all-costs tough-guy negativity.

GREAT POST J-RODMC. You put things in the proper perspective any sports fan should appreciate.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I will even set the bar slightly lower. During those epic battles with Chicago, even though we lost, I enjoyed it and in my mind at the time, that WAS the finals. Everything afterwards seem anticlimactic. I would have loved to have won it all at least once during the Ewing era but, not ONCE did I ever hate on them for falling short.
