Exactly tkf and why draft Tim Hardaway? Pg and rebounder were our biggest needs and we got neither to date. Offense was putrid vs the Pacers and we couldn't rebound. Defense was fine

So now in retrospect, was signing Prigioni at the time for a portion of the mini-ML instead of going after Udirih weeks ago when we had more money to spend a little bit of a mistake? I think so. Udirih > Prigioni.. Just sayin'.

Prigioni played very well. We couldn't let him go. Definitely getting Prigioni is better than a chance at getting Udirih. It sucks we've got so much money tied up on overpaid players and have such limited FA options though.

if we had let Prigs go, guys here guys would be up in arms. Prigs deserved to be a priority and we know he fits the roster while we have no idea how Udirih would mesh.

if he is a priority, then why are we chasing beno? why are we chasing bobby "don't mean to be cruel but I am going to china" Brown? why? what are we doing? if prigs was a priority, lets move on to the next need... honestly, not sure spending money on artest was a good move.. A nice feel good story, for a former NY star, but artest is not the same player.... and although we can also use his defense, i think our need was for a Dejuan blair, reggie evans type..

Prigs was a priority. The Knicks used all three point guards on their roster a lot last year and that worked well for them. They have three roster spots left and want to add a point. Udrih is the best guy available.

It seems like the Knicks feel all their offensive woes were fixed once they traded for Bargnani but he may not even play under Woodson. If used properly he will work wonders. Still not sure if we have the point guard to reign in Woodson and Melo though. We need ball movement from start to finish

Prigs is great but he can only go 20 or so minutes otherwise he won't last 82 games

curious... why not? I would trade 3 shumperts to get my hands on rondo... I mean shumpert is a nice kid and all, but that should be a no brainer.... at least it is for me...

If Kidd did anything for us in the Pacers series we beat them imho. Felton is limited to PnR and has very few playmaking abilities beyond that. That's why Priggs was a priority, to make plays for others . That's why we drafted Hardaway, the possibility of improving the playmaking by using a pretty low pick. That's the reason we can really use Udrih -we have the scoring now with Bargs, if we can get Udrih our backcourt is set and we just need to get a someone to grab some boards. Problem is we had Camby last year, arguably the best rebounding big on the team, and we all know how much burn he got. So perhaps our rebounding woes are not as crucial from the coaching standpoint as our need for playmaking.

right.. I mean, I just don't get the sense that we know what we are doing.... we are go all in now mode right now.. we are, we are not planning for 2015. we don't have picks... so lets do it right... I would have skipped bargs, kept the 2016 picks, and offered up the rights to our pick this year to a team like denver to see if we could get our hands on andre miller.. novak makes about 1.3 mil less than miller, so we would have to had sent a filler like q rich to even out the deal... Denver needs more consistent outside shooting, and although novaks deal runs a year longer than miller, Maybe throwing in a couple of second round picks would have made the deal palatable for the nuggets..

now you have miller at PG, a good defender, a clutch player, a slow it down guard that would fit well with the knicks.. he would be a clear upgrade over any PG we have now.. Clear upgrade!!

why do you think having Prigs as a priority and also pursuing a 3rd PG are mutually exclusive. Most all teams have PGs on their roster and why not go for the next best one. Knicks just ran a 3 PG set that worked very well. And if a guy goes down, you need that extra PG.

BTW, the Knicks did pursue and get Kmart, which is the same as DeJuan and Reggie types, still need 1 more. Artest is a very nice match next to Melo as he can swing to SF on offense and guard the best guy on other side in front court - West beat up on Melo.

Are you suggesting Knicks should have drafted need? What PG or rebounding would you have taken at 24?

Bargnani will help the offseason if Woodson doesn't bury him on the bench. We still need a pg. prigs is only good for 20mins as backup if he is going to last all 82games

Camby was hurt and may have mailed it in last year. Every other guy on the roster at one time or another was in the rotation and played significant minutes. Even Solomon Jones played for the one game they signed him to.

Nevermind im not going to go crazy over a late 1st rd pick but I would have preferred a guy like bolluck who can shoot lights out or a project at pg or pf/c. Not another JR/Felton inefficient volume shooter. We saw what happened against Indiana offensively

I think Hardaway will be a solid NBA player. but not next yr (he needs to learn how to play defense). I think the knicks just got the "best" player available cuz the draft wasnt that good this yr.
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

This is why I'm so hopeless. The Knicks have no options. I don't even know why I bother

you just had both sides of the story, complaining that the Knicks didn't draft a PG or rebounder and then suggest you would have drafted Bolluck, who is neither.

Don't need to go crazy, but how about consistent?

Honestly, I thought they were grooming shump to run some PG duties.. How many teams really run 3 pg's?
3 average PG's? I have no problem with beno, as I think he is an upgrade over prigs, and we should have been patient and looking for a PG that could actually challenge felton to start, as I think felton is a better bench player than starter.... and i would give shump some minutes at point.. i mean, what are we doing with the kid?

As far as artest and kenyon martin.. honestly, do you see kenyon as the reggie evans type? really? I think kenyon has lost a lot.. he and artest are retreads...again, we are getting crumbs....

martin why does everyone and every thing have to be a nice match for melo.. you know I have heard.. bargs is a great partner for melo.. Prigs is perfect for melo... chandler is perfect for melo.. No artest..

when are we going to start adding players, that are a good match for the KNICKS?

as I suggested, I would have been looking to trade and not for some soft player like bargs.. i said why not look at andre miller, for novak and 2 second round picks and filler?

Andre miller would push felton to backup PG and honestly, we wouldn't need to be wasting time and stressing trying to convince average players like Beno to come to NY..

i actually would not mind moving that one pick for miller, while holding onto our 2016 pick...

it's clear both Miller and Denver wanted him to stay, so what now?
