There's a great chance that we can get him back to his best BB and even better if we can get him to buy into the winning attitude we have here. The Raps stunk and who knows how that effected him. I'm sure the losing doesn't exactly inspire a player. He'll be coming here with a fresh start and a positive attitude. I think that's gonna make a huge difference.
and how much effort are you going to give a franchise when they Boo you mercilessly the moment you step on the floor. Raptor fans have developed a penchant for totally turning on their players worse than any franchise I have seen before. They did it to Vince, the did it to Bosch and they have done it to Bargs. Few players would give 100% under such conditions.I also read that he has been depressed on a team lacking any other Euro players who he can relate to and it was written that he was very hopeful that Prigs would be on the team with him.
people are human. Its tough to suceed in a situation that makes you miserable, or an environment that makes you miserable. Sports, relationships, jobs, whatever... we have all been there in some way.
I will say this... he's a good player. There is a real reason he was picked #1 aside it being a weak draft. He's not a star, he's not a great player, but he's really good and if happy and motivated can and will be a big contributor. Living in NYC will be big also. Its possible he's happy to collect his NBA millions next two years and retire a rich man in his homeland. Its also possible a better environment and situation and being healthy reminds him about what he loves about the game and beingh and NBA player. Lot of upside for the Knicks. Thats the cost of using the pick. The upside is clearly there. If you cant see it your not being honest. Doesnt mean its a sure thing, but this looks like a good fit to me.
