I applaud the intern's ability to turn a guns retirement thread into something about himself.

great to see ya blue and i couldn't agree more with your post.. been doin the same thing myself.

I've missed you too, and I usually find myself in agreement with your positions. You're one of the more neutral and open minded guys out there.

It would be great if you and the old timers I miss like BBJ, Bip, DJ, Marv, Killa, Evil, PresIke, et al, were still posting. But truth be told for myself, I don't even have strong opinions anymore. Just watching and seeing how it plays out it.

I still root hard for the team and despise every loss, but I don't really feel emotionally involved with the players. I "like" them, but there's no one I love the way I loved Oakman, Starks, Mason, etc, and maybe there never will be. But that's why I do understand discontented guys like tkf, Bocker, etc. When the team trades away the few guys you really identified with for guys you don't, it's tough, and it can be a long road back to emotional involvement.

These new knicks still got to earn our trust, when they do our hearts and minds will follow.

good post bluest.. and great to see you around my friend..

pierce's footwork was magnificent during his 4-18 performance.

I hope he enjoys his new fishing rod.

he's an nba champion, an nba finals mvp, and a first ballot hall-of-famer. it's just silly not to give a great player his due, just as it's mean-spirited to single out one game to try and make a point about his footwork. but like i said you be you.

Good post.. I agree.. I just don't get it sometimes.. fans feel to give another player credit is to disown your team... and that is just not the case.. Pierce is fun to watch, especially if you like the small details... the guy is great out there when it comes to the small details of the game..

I am a Knick in the mold of Clyde Frasier and, like Clyde, I hate the Celtics. Some of the antic Pierce has pulled in the garden make it hard for me to ever appreciate him as a player. The sheer hate will likely always get in the way.

I do disagree with the poster who said Kobe is NOT a superstar. Say whatever you want about his stats, Kobe IS a superstar. Super-stardom is not about success but, public perception. You don't see as many jerseys as he has without being a Superstar and his supporting cast has NOTHING whatsoever to do with it. This is coming from a guy that dislikes Kobe's personae

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

yea, kobe is a superstar, was a superstar.. he could have shot the ball better, and been less selfish, but he was an elite talent, and played both sides of the ball.. I wish people stop with the if carmelo isn't a star then neither is kobe.. two different players and honestly not even close in skill, kobe is just that much better.. now with that said..

I understand your hate for the celtics... I can get that.. but living outside of NY for some time, and also growing up in NY I can see things from both sides sometimes.. I do sense some resentment from fans and players when it comes to NY, it's fans and sense of entitlement.. believe me, I am sure pierce and garnett feel this too... the hyping of MSG, the hyping of so called stars.. yet in boston, they continue to hang banners.. I guess I would get a little pissy as well.. LOL.. so when they kick our butts, they show out... funny if you are not a knick fan, classless if you are a knick fan.... but you can appreciate how good they are, and you don't have to like them to appreciate great play over the years...

Nevermind all that jazz. You know who is playing in the playoffs? Why yes!? Tim Duncan! That guy couldn't even hold Chris Copeland's jockstrap.

Do all of your alternate personalities agree on this? And have any of you finally realized that Earl Monroe as a Knick wouldn't be allowed to even wash any of Spree's repossesed cars?

Go Knicks

So you're just going to do an Eddy and quit on the team (forum) while we are making a run? It kills me that for years, us positive posters that predicted good things for the Knicks to later be wrong and have to hear the I told you so's from the negative posters. You negative guys get it thrown back at you for one year and you guys can't take it.

You make like 3 posts a year and you're trying to brag about how you persisted through the rough times?

Pipe down rook! You have to put 10 years in before you can go at a vet like me.

Too bad Guns but I hear you on some of the stuff going on in the forum. There have been several waves of different posters over the years but that's what makes this place interesting.

Anyway, hope to see you back someday - I respect your bball and music opinions.
