What are you talking about?

Carmelo is only 28 years of age.

Shumpert will only be 24 years of age two years from today.

Amar'e Stoudemire will be off the books for $23,410,988 after the 2014/2015 season.

After the 2014/2015 season we could feature a 24-25 years of age Shumpert, 30-31 years of age Melo to continue building around, can re-sign Tyson Chandler for cheaper moving forward and we'll have enough cap space to impove our Knicks team left and right. Especially once Amar'e is off the books. Re-Sign Melo long term and our Knicks will contend for many of years to come. There is no future beyond that? Yea, o.k.

We may sign J.R Smith long term and guys such as Jason Kidd, Kurt Thomas, Rasheed Wallace and Marcus Camby could all very well retire during the offseason. Which could amount to a boat load of cap space. No future? Says who? You?

Says reality.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Carmelo will be 31 years old in 2015. He is not going to be better than he is right now, in the next 2 years. This is the top of his game. You try and win now with him because it will not get easier as he gets older, not with the rest of the team also getting older and/or retiring by that point. The Knicks didn't amass the oldest team in the league to plan for the future. They are in it to win now. No amount of homerific posts from you will change that.

Anyone looking to trade Shumpert for Redick, of all players, should slap themselves. The same hypocrital posters screaming "too many three's" and/or "not enough defense" then become the same hypocrites calling for JJ Redick...

Yeah, our problem hasn't been hitting threes or scoring. It has been defense. This trade does nothing to help that. We already have outside shooting forward sitting on the bench because he can't play defense. This is as bad...no, this is worse than the Dudley proposal. I hope we can at least get a pick out of this if our front office does this deal.

If the Knicks are exploring a trade of Shrump for Riddick then it's pure silly...The Knicks aren't going to out score anyone in the playoffs ..If they have a chance, it will be off the defense they played earlier in the season...So let me think, we are in the East that has LeBron, Wade, Joe Johnson, Paul George, Jrue Holiday, Monta Ellis, and Derek Rose...Our answer is to cue up Riddick??..Is this some sick joke...I read where some one said Riddick is a game changer???..ORL is 15-38, how many games did he change this year..Again, defense wins...Shrump has changed games with his defense in the past...He is a few weeks into his comeback and we are not think he can't help us???..Trading for Riddick is an Isiah move...Riddick like Novak, can be locked down, another silly signing..

I like redick but this sounds like a very desperate move. I think Shump has more value then that.

Why do you keep calling him Riddick? It's Reddick. Not the guy from Chronicles of Riddick.

Reddick is nothing like Novak and to make the comparison shows that you know nothing about his game at all.

Redick can actually move without the ball as well as put the ball on the floor. He's not just a spot up shooter

Yeah, I am right. Learn about other players before talking trash about them. If you have no idea about the guy other than that's he's a good 3 point shooter then it's pretty dumb to compare him to Matt Carroll and Steve Novak. What a genius comparison, by the way. They're all white guys who shoot the ball well. Genius, I tell 'ya! Except Reddick is versatile and can score in different ways. He can get his own shot, unlike the other two, and he can play bit of defense, unlike the other two. He also is very good on the pick and roll, getting almost 5 assists per game this season. So no, he's not Carroll and Novak. Stick to hyping up Stephon Marbury and Isiah Thomas because your knowledge of the game doesn't seem to go beyond that.

No...You are not right..He sucks as a three point shooter and was much better shooter in college..So Redick finally learned this year to get his own shot off and he is a get???..Dude does play harder than I have ever seen him but he still isn't a player I would give up Shrump for...Defense wins rings and don't tell me 6'3" two guard Redick is stopping anyone in the East...So he starts ahead of JR???..More jokes...Good thing there are forums like these for guys like yourself can change their names annually...

Did you just say a guy who is a career 40% three point shooter sucks a three point shooter? Okay.

He has always been more versatile than Matt Carroll and Steve Novak. He has simply developed even more. Players grow and become better.

You've never seen him play - outside of Magic-Knicks matchups - yet you think you know the player. Talking about him "playing harder than ever" and all that. You barely know the guy and you're still making outlandish claims about the player. You do this constantly. If you don't know jack about the player don't comment on him.

JJ Reddick is a better and more efficient player than JR Smith. The same guy who loved Marbury/Isiah is laughing about Reddick starting over JR Smith, when all Smith has been his entire career is a chucker with poor shooting numbers. And lo and behold, JR is once again shooting under 40% for the season. Let me remind you that a 39% FG for a guard absolutely sucks. Just because JR Smith explodes once every 7 games and gives you an eye-popping play occasionally doesn't make him good. And it doesn't make him a better player than Reddick. JR Smith has the talent to be better than Reddick but his basketball IQ will never allow him to do it. So, yes, Reddick would start over Smith because Smith was, is and always will be a bench player at best.

The only way to speak to you is like this because, quite frankly, you don't understand when people speak to you nicely. You need people to talk to you in this manner for you to understand a point. You never listen, anyway, but that's besides the point. You'll have your love of dumb, poor shooting players forever and you'll blame everyone but yourself, even though you've been wrong more times than I can count.
