fail either way you look at it
BUZACTLY hence why I qualified my original post and said I don't believe Melo is a target of trash talk from players in the league any more than other players.
Players don't get suspended for trash talking other players. They do if they cross the line with refs but what would be Dolan's motive here other than placing himself as a target with the league undermining their protocol. Also how is it that all his Garden Secret Service ways get leaked to the press?
I SAW THIS COMING FROM A MILE AWAY
http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/8854524/david-stern-says-team-eavesdropping-opponent-face-sanctions-league
LONDON -- NBA commissioner David Stern says any team tempted to "eavesdrop" on opponents will face sanctions from the league.
knickscity you got some splainin to do.....
If youre gonna make the quote at least get it correct, Stern specifically said mics on the court is fair game, eaves dropping in his example was the locker room and private areas for the respective teams.
The court aint private, but nice try, Stern already clarified that twice in that presser.
ironically from that same article.....
"But the actions of New York Knicks owner James Dolan in ordering extra microphones to be installed within Madison Square Garden in the wake of Carmelo Anthony's recent suspension did not break any rules, he confirmed."
"But there is a difference between eavesdropping such as putting microphones in the locker room or the huddle other than the one that the league does, and putting microphones around the court to pick up the sounds they make."
