JR is just not a smart player and he is in love with taking off balance shots. He has not developed as a player much over the years. No post game, does not consistently drive although he has the ability to and just does dumb things. He has all the talent in the world though.

JR reminds me of my fantasy QB i am watching now in cam newton at times... they love doing things off their back foot.. and you are like why? dude you have the ability to make the simple plays on a consistent basis.. why make it so hard?

HA! Me and my sons have a on going gag about how JR gives up the easy shot to take a harder one We've been doing it since last year and he still has that problem.

athletically he is pretty much what we can call elite.... he jumps with such ease , sort of mini lebron-esque, but he is a mental midget, and it hurts his game... really does... with him you just have to get out of him what you can.. when he is hot, ride him, not, sit him... not sure if he will ever get it, but if he does, he can become a nice player...

I think his game will mature as the season progresses. With the 3 PG's and older guys in his ear, look for improvements.

When everything is in cohesion the game becomes a lot easier to do the extra stuff. He doesn't have spacing issues in the paint, and he has quality PGs, and he has guys that can hit open shots and make them pay for locking in on him, and he has an upgrade at coach with a full training camp.

The papers who bashed Melo will take about how he changed and all that in order to justfy themselves but the truth is its the coach and veterans around him.
