Toronto playing chess with NY and we don't even have to make a move. Id rather have Felton, Lin and Shumpert than Nash. Let them overpay for Fields and have that contract hurt them in the next few years. Get Lin and Felton in the truck!

At least some other team's fan will be screaming at the TV when Fields throws up another one of his God awful shots. Its stunning how far ahead of the curve he looked when he got here and how far behind the curve he looked by the time he left.

Will be funny if Nash signs somewhere else after the Raps overpaid for Fields.

I just think his reality is somewhere in the middle of the curve. He is not as bad as people on this board has made him out to be. We couldn't wait to get rid of Trevor Ariza either. For his sake I hope he finds his groove and has good career.

Trevor Ariza was monster defender - Fields is all about the glue which ain't sticky no more

Not trading Fields for a future 2nd round pick was a big mistake.
I think he can improve his shot, but he just didn't compliment our team after we added Melo.
He was playing good basketball again, when he was playing SF during Linsanity.
He just won't get many minutes there with Melo, cannot defend SGs, and needs to play with players that playing team ball.
He needs good IQ players that constantly moving/cutting, hitting the open man, and using what the movement he does.

Field's isn't worth the contract he received on our team, but he is much better than we credit him for.
Only his final year, is a HORRIBLE deal, but not worse than the 5 years that that we invested on Amare and Melo.
I wish him the best in Toronto, he did what was best for him, and we cannot fault him for it.

Unless she is interested in living in Toronto, she may be saying bye-bye to Landry.

I might be able to help her find a place to live if she stays - I should reach out and do the right thing

She looks kinda Barbie Doll plasticky. Fields should have searched the Alba thread first..

She fills out the smoking hot stereotype very well, that's kinda what I was saying. Almost too well. But whatever, to each his own.

Thinking about it - if the Knicks are truly going all in with Nash... I say EFF it and match on Fields. He's the kind of guy who would thrive playing with Nash. And would make Lin happy, who I'm assuming we're matching as well. EFF it. If we're all in, I wanna be ALL IN.

Can we do that and still keep Lin? If so, it is a smart move.

Why match Fields so he can mess up Nash's assist attempts. MDA says no

Fields should do well in Toronto because there is no pressure at all. I like him as a player but he can't hack pressure so maybe NY wasn't the best place for him. Did anyone read Bill Simons tweet about the deal, which went something like: "kudos to Toronto: anytime you can pay $20 mil to an 11th man in order to give $36 million to a 38 year old point guard, you gotta do it!", perfect description of the move!

A toronto fan's take:

http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/1246939-why-landry-fields-to-toronto-makes-sense

...and I agree.

I also think that most of you guys think that Dolans money is your money. Wake up!

Sell out crowd. Expensive tickets. NYC marketing. It goes on and on.

Someone said Woody doesnt like Fields. He flew to CA to work him out just a few weeks ago!

Wake up! Stop talking shjt! Re-sign the man and start him so he and Lin can keep Melo in check!

Had enough Melo?
