I just happen to believe that this Knicks team is a lot closer to those teams than the record indicates. If not for the injuries to either team it would be a very intense series. I happen to think this team can defend at a high level too. The Knicks had some internal issues that kept them from playing at their best, but by the time we get to the playoffs, if the Knicks are there at 8, I suspect they could actually be a very tough challenge for the Bulls or Heat. I just think we're built to battle those teams.
The Knicks can scare any team but for the injuries. Lin won't be there for first round and there is no way Amare will be anywhere near 100%.
It's a shame, but I don't think the playoffs are going to amount to much for the Knicks.
And next year the Knicks prob won't have Novak and JR to come off bench, those 2 guys are a big part of what the Knicks could be this year.
It's a darned shame that we had these injuries so late in the season. I really wanted to see this team with Woody and a full fair shot. Now it's a bit tainted by the injuries. I still think that they have to fight hard to get the Atlantic Div. It's not wrapped up yet and they are still within reach. It's gonna take a herculean effort to win but they do have a legit shot.

Really they need to split the next 4 games. Win one against Chicago and beat the Bucks!!! If they somehow manage to win 3 of 4 that would really put them in the drivers seat. It's not like Philly or Boston are gonna come thru this next stretch unscathed.
