think you far far far underestimate the BULLs
and the power of Defense which neither Amare nor Lin is good at playing
"Shame on you"

Though I agree matchups are closer with Bulls
to say it's no contest Your crazy or either puffing a pipe

If this was NO contest then Knicks would be 10 game > 500 and that record still wouldnt equate to BULLs stealth record

Fact is BULLs, HEAT and SPURs type teams can shoot 30% and play well enough D to Beat teams like NY

NY D' is much improved under woody but lets not get ahead of ourselves

Knicks need to be consistent to be in same breath as teams I've cited.

The Knicks our knicks are closer to CELTICs in matchups
and ya know what? NY will still lose to Boston in series like it or not for no presence in inside paint post play

That sums it up!

Can't say I agree. I think we played the Bulls tough and that was before MDA resigned. We can beat those teams with a unified effort like we've been seeing on D from this team. One bad 4th qtr doesn't mean the team has lost it's way on D. I'm not saying this team will have it easy or is some kind of lock, but fully healthy this team is the equal of the Bulls IMO. When everyone is clicking this team is capable of playing at a very high level. Unfortunately this team is snake bit and we can't seem to get everyone going at the same time.

Getting Jared back will be huge. Getting STAT back will also be huge. I can only pray that Lin can make it back by the playoffs.

Sorry still think you're undervaluing the BULLs
sure they can be beat (i.e. HEAT)

However BULLs lost lots of games with NO Rose
what's their record eh ? 42-13

NY would matchup well with BULLs

But if you'd think for one minute BULLs or HEAT are losing to Knicks in round# 1?
2 NBA pro teams whom play defense ?

I cannot believe what I'm hearing on the subject.

The team would lose to Chicago and Miami even if LIN OR AMARE were there
those 2 Knicks aren't

Knicks are what 0 -4 or O'fer ? against the EAST 2 top guns

Unbelievable board feels Knicks at 8th seed can actually play with the 2 best and win few games.
maybe 1 game.

Keep in mind NBA teams pro teams like BULLs and HEAT get up for NY even when Knicks werent any good.

Both teams play pourously against NY and still won games. If that doesnt tell something there I really dont know what to say

Why do you keep ending your posts with the pringles smiley?

As for the fact that the Bulls and Heat are the top teams in the East, that is unquestioned. I just happen to believe that this Knicks team is a lot closer to those teams than the record indicates. If not for the injuries to either team it would be a very intense series. I happen to think this team can defend at a high level too. The Knicks had some internal issues that kept them from playing at their best, but by the time we get to the playoffs, if the Knicks are there at 8, I suspect they could actually be a very tough challenge for the Bulls or Heat. I just think we're built to battle those teams.

The Knicks can scare any team but for the injuries. Lin won't be there for first round and there is no way Amare will be anywhere near 100%.

It's a shame, but I don't think the playoffs are going to amount to much for the Knicks.

And next year the Knicks prob won't have Novak and JR to come off bench, those 2 guys are a big part of what the Knicks could be this year.

It's a darned shame that we had these injuries so late in the season. I really wanted to see this team with Woody and a full fair shot. Now it's a bit tainted by the injuries. I still think that they have to fight hard to get the Atlantic Div. It's not wrapped up yet and they are still within reach. It's gonna take a herculean effort to win but they do have a legit shot.

Really they need to split the next 4 games. Win one against Chicago and beat the Bucks!!! If they somehow manage to win 3 of 4 that would really put them in the drivers seat. It's not like Philly or Boston are gonna come thru this next stretch unscathed.

That's the frustrating thing- this year is probably the deepest team we'll have for the next 3 years. Next year we'll be relying on improvements in Shump, Jorts and Fields to make up for the loss of JR and Novak. Factor in a declining Amar'e, and maybe even BD, and we're in trouble.

I told you guys not to give up hope in this race!!! This thing is far from over. I had a feeling that Boston would have a tough time dealing with this bac2bac stretch to the end the season. It only gets tougher for them as we move along.

It would take a Douglasanity miracle to catch both.

As far as the 7th or 8th? I personally would rather play chicago.

We need to concentrate on just holding off Milwalk who have an easy schedule.

It's not over! The teams still have to actually play the games! You can't just assign them wins just cuz of who they're playing. I do believe that Philly is a bit shaky and quite capable of losing to anyone. Boston is playing great, but this schedule is gonna wear them out. The Knicks have a legit shot to still get this thing.

They need to at least split with Chicago and beat the Bucks.

HUGE WEEKEND

Knicks aren't playing tonight but it's still a huge night for the race for the Atlantic. For one thing the Bucks play the Blazers. Gotta hope they have an off night and the Blazers actually show up wanting to spoil their playoff chances. In the meantime the Sixers and Celtics both play. Gotta hope the Magic actually play like they still want to be in the playoffs tonight. Indy and Boston could be a good one. Indy is a deep team with lots of youth. Maybe they can outlast a tiring Celtics team.

Now Sunday is a HUGE!!!! This will be the biggest Knicks home game of the year. Not only do we play the Bulls at home, but the Sixers and Celtics will be playing each other. So someone ahead of us is gonna drop a game guaranteed!!!

Looking more and more like Knicks have to actually knock 76ers out their position..Bucks looking good vs. weak competition.

SO do you root for the Cs tomorrow or the Sixers. If Sixers win they can keep the Cs in distance if the Sixers lose again they will be tied with NY for losses. I think I want the CS to winn because the Sixers have an easier week than Boston on paper.

OK here we go! This game is HUGE and a MUST WIN game for the Knicks!!! As usual we didn't get any help from the Pacers or Blazers. ANYWAY! Knicks need this win and we actually can't lose between the Sixers and Celtics as long as we win our game against the Bulls.

Knicks move into 7 spot for now It's still gonna be a tough road going forward. Knicks have 2 tough games coming up. Sixers have some rather lame competition, but maybe the drop one of the next 2 road games anyway. C's will have some tough games coming up and a brutal schedule the rest of the way.

I just don't think we can displace Boston their lead is too big, unless they commit suicide like the sixers.

I agree the next best thing would be to beat Chicago Tuesday and help the Heat overtake the Bulls. That way we finish 7th and get the the Bulls in the 1st round. Then get Miami in the 2nd with Amare & Lin back.

That Boston game on the 17th is huge gotta take it. Knicks are only 3 back with a lot of games left to play

IMO it's entirely possible for the Knicks to pick up 2 games before they face the Celtics on the 17th. The Celtics will have had to run the Heat/Hawks Bac2bac and then bac2bac2bac gauntlet too. That team is gonna be all kinds of tired by the time we face them. The C's have been strong, but they still have a tough close to April.

I think Orlando's slide, coupled with Philly and we are looking at 3-6.

Would like to stay out of 7 or 8

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Tonight is another key game for the Knicks in that the Bucks play the Thunder. If the Bucks lose that obviously helps the Knicks should they lose to the Bulls tomorrow. Of course a win by the Knicks against the Bulls and Bucks would be HUGE. Still we need the thunder to take out the Bucks tonight and take some of the pressure off. The Bucks have been playing a cream puff schedule for a while now and this is one of the few tough games they have.
