Good D by the Knicks for most of the second quarter. Only gave up 16 points and took a nine point lead. Now we have to avoid the third quarter of death.

Landry should've dunked that. Still great half by the Knicks. They withstood the early surge by the Pacers and then got back to playing aggressive D and sharing the ball.

I don't think I've ever seen a player whose explosiveness is as inconsistent as Amare's. Some nights he's dunking on people and grabbing lots of rebounds and then others he's constantly getting his shot blocked.

Should have just faked it instead of going straight for the shot. If anything, he would at least draw a foul.

Yeah, Refs were all too busy being mesmerized by Lin driving into the paint and they often just watched him shoot instead of watching what happens to him.

he's gotten to the line and been active on the boards. maybe on a back to back his knees or back are too achy to jump with explosion? dunno, but i agree w/ you.

fields also looks like dead legs and tired mind tonight.

Lin gets cheated out of more assists and more foul calls than anyone else in the NBA
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

STAT seems fine to me. We have to remember that he and Melo aren't used to going hard on both ends like this. A bac2bac is gonna be tough on them in terms of their bodies. So long as they take smart shots rather than force things, they should be OK. I was actually shocked that Landry didn't get up higher on his shot that was blocked to end the half.

i think the likely bottom line is stat is not the same as last year, or something is wrong that might end (we hope)...hard to say what, and i am doubtful, but he's usually a determined player on the offensive end, mostly, and not as often on defense...

that's it...

he will try is hardest to do what he used to do, but it won't be the same as he used to as consistently...difficult to explain other than the man is a bit less explosive, but thinks he can be.

i dunno nix. i have been hesitant to say this, but i think stat has lost a half step. not lj-like in athletic decline, but he's not finishing the same as consistently, nor is his jumper the same...

it's like a guy who uses the same technique to do his moves, but the athleticism isn't quite the same...it throws you off sometimes.

i hope i'm wrong.

Woody doing a good job getting the team to pay attention to little details. They get up into guys who have the ball and they're aggressive on the boards.
