D'Antoni needs a Superstar PG and that leaves just Deron Williams and Chris Paul.

Griffin shooting 3's? Dwight Howard shooting jumpers from the top of the key?

D'Antoni should go to Cleveland where expectations are low and he can coach Irving.

We will see how it plays out.

lead assistant coach is herb williams, i guess? teflon herb.

why isn't Herb getting a shot?

because herb is a herb. period.

Herb just does what Herb do.

Maybe its over the possibly gutting of the team to get Dwight? I doubt it, probably was Melodrama but still - this is LAME.

Let the drama begin (well... when has it ended with this pathetic franchise?)

“Dolan is blaming the coach,” said a source with knowledge of the Knicks’ locker-room dynamics. “Tyson [Chandler], Baron [Davis], A’mare [Stoudemire] – guys who came to play for Mike – or that system – are pissed. [Jeremy] Lin isn’t happy either.”

Imagine if the Clippers hire him? They'd be crazy good.....

Depends how flexible he is. I wonder after all this if the Clips would ask him to put some more defensive minded assistants on his staff like the Suns and Knicks did? Would he go for it this time?

If you thought the team was divided, imagine how its gonna be now. This is an aspect we all forgot: Tyson, Baron, Amar'e and Lin either came to play for Mike D' or improved under his system.

Im so tired of this franchise...

I don't even want to think of the who, why, what next?

But if we do make another run, do we call it Woodsanity?

Oh Yeah. No more gimmick ball.

The return of post play from the Knicks should be heralded.

Yeah, SSOL should be put to bed. Go to the post more and stop just jacking up 3s. This team is not a good 3pt shooting team.

Tyson came here to play with Amare & melo. Not to play in a offensive system. Of course guys are going to stick up for dantoni. its called class which all those guys have with the exception of Melo

Stephen A is trying to save face and is actually going to blame Lin for MDA losing his job. The guy wanted Melo here. Melo on the court, the Knicks suck. Melo off the court, the Knicks win. MDA loses his job. Go figure.

Stephen A, save your self esteem.

I'm shocked and also not shocked. This was an untenable situation. I actually was looking forward to the game, cuz I thought it was a winnable game and that the Knicks could win and gain some confidence. While I am upset that MDA is gone, I still want more than anything for this team to figure out something and start to win games. That's the paramount issue here. The success of the Knicks.

I will say that this stinks of Dolan. You don't let a coach go into a season as a lame duck. It just never works. The players need to know that they have to listen to the coach cuz he's gonna be here. As for this supposed lack of flexibility. MDA put the entire offense in Melo's hands. How much more could MDA change things than to put the complete control of the offense in the hands of Melo a SF??? It didn't work!!!!
What did work was when we had Lin playing and the team running Team Oriented BB.

I don't give a effing eff about Baron Brokeback Davis and Jeremy Lin being pissed. My only hope is that Tyson sticks it out with us. I could give a damn about Amar'e at this point.

He had some nice things to say in this clip but he isn't shedding any tears over MDA's departure. Smith did call that D'Antoni wouldn't last a week, said it today.

Listening to ESPN right now and they all think that it was a bad for the Knicks to see D'Antoni leave, but it was the right thing that should have happened... if that makes sense.
