They'll get it together in the 2nd half.

Probably waiting to get back to the locker room to beat the balls of off him

The coaching staff is at fault for this. No rookie should be shooting 14 shots in a half.

We can only hope that the Shump's coaches and teammates talk some sense into him. He was chuck-happy in th e1st half, and it threw off the Knicks' flow.

He's a rook, and has to learn.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I do, how in the hell do you pull up for a jumper with 4 guys back on D? Rookie grwoing pains.

Exactly he is a rookie..that's why a vet Bibby should know better and either walk it up to get a good shot or hand to melo who was standing right next to him. Bibby tossed it up court like it was a fast break.

Tyson Chandler looked pissed, we are not playing good defense, and on the other side no one is feeding Amare or Melo,
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I don't want to see Shumpert shoot a single shot unless it's in transition! Enough already, get your teammates involved!

I haven't watched a Knicks game on TV since before the New Year and I get to watch this crap. They better get it together and pull this one out.

They could just have wanted to see what he could do as more of a SG tonight. Teams do experiment from game to game you know. Especially against teams that aren't playing well. MDA has really gone to the bench tonight too. I think he was trying to save STAT and Melo for a strong 2nd half run, by seeing if Shump could catch fire.

I mean think about it. They have never played like this since Iman has been starting. He's been very much under control and not being aggressive. I'm positive that this was an attempt to save STAT and Melo for the 2nd half.

You're sugarcoating awful coaching right now.

D'Antoni could have made the point easily by pulling Shumpert.

The one thing players understand is minutes.

Lax coaching is NOT what this group needs.

I disagree. That was really bad. He needed to be benched.

Hell no. You don't "coach" any player to be that selfish.

If Stoudemire or Carmelo Anthony need to be "saved" the Knicks are in more trouble than Charles Barkley claims.

Marv Albert clowning Shumpert to start the third quarter.

9 assists total for the Knicks. 33 per cent shooting.

I agree. What bothered me was that Shumpert was jacking up one bad shot after another, there was a timeout, and then he went right back to jacking them up again. No one said anything to him?.

What I like about his game is his ability to use his dribble to get a good look or make a smart pass, he needs to get back to that.

Its just one half but it shouldn't have been that ugly.

Sorry any other coach in the NBA would've pulled Iman immediately. 15 shots in the 1st half by a rookie PG that's not the primary option or secondary option would've been benched.
