What are the better packages? Brook Lopez is a gimp and Bynum could fold like a house of cards at any time. Amar'e has had his injury issues but since his last major incident, the eyeball, he has proved durable.

That is what I was saying earlier. It would be between the knicks and Lakers. But I think the Lakers have better pieces

Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum is the trump card. That's better than any other offer could be. Question is - would the Lakers do it. So far, they've been reluctant.

Word. Not even close on this one. Forget this starphuck and let's roll with our current team.

Nah, let's talk about the Carmelo for Ricky Rubio rumors.

Sheesh.

could swear I saw a report today saying they were willing to part with Pau and Bynum.

Orland does not want to lose him for nothing like Shaq but, no way do they move him for a guy with uninsurable knees who, is possibly one knee collision from being a role player. That would be just as bad as getting nothing for Howard. It ain't happening.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Over the last five years Amar'e has averaged 75 games played a season, where Bynum is 55 per season for his entire career and he's had major injuries in each of the last four years. Amar'e has many 70 and 80 game years under his belt.

Bynum is a bigger injury risk than Amar'e, by a long shot.

Amar'e-Tyson is a better package than Pau-Bynum.

The thing I keep thinking about in this type of scenario is this: Kobe, Hedo, Dwight, Artest.... and ?

In 2 years Kobe is 35 and the Lakers are capped out still. What does Dwight look forward to?

Would Dwight sign an extension with LA if Pau and Bynum end up in Orlando?

I thought about that too. Why would you want to go play with Kobe who is already past his prime but still has good basketball in him. Wouldn't he rather play with someone who is also in their prime? Like Rose or Dwill.

Unless they get Deron this summer. Then they have Dwight and Deron after Kobe.

Can't give up Shumpert. This team will actually have no one. Amare/Shump/Melo/Chandler > Melo/Dwight/???Turk

Can we stop this Amare to Orlando non-sense already? We just won 4 in a row, beat Hollinger's #1 ranked team, and Amare has been beasting at 20-10 every dam game while TC and Melo get there's too. Tonight the entire front court nearly got 10 rebounds each(Melo 9, Amare 10, TC 13). Let's stop all this noise, no need to break up the best front court in the NBA.

Great win but you break it up for a Dwight Howard. We had an 8 streak last year too, before the trade.

You know who averaged 30 points/game during that 8 game win streak right?

Hahaha. I do. But my entire argument is that Dwight is in that exclusive class of players you blow it up for. He is a tier above guys like Amar'e. So rare and valuable; once a generation.

hmmm...maybe his athletic gifts but his basketball skills are not once in a generation. He doesn't scare me. If I'm going into a series I don't go damn here comes Dwight. He is not on Hakeem, Shaq, Kareem, Wilt level. I even put him below David Robinson/Patrick Ewing Level. To me he is on Alonzo Mourning Level and I'll still put my money on Zo prime vs. Dwight prime one on one. If we are left with a roster of Dwight, Melo and a bunch of average NBA players I have a feeling we would be very disappointed with the results of that team.

1 for 1, Dwight is better obviously. That's not a question. But do you break up the best front court in the NBA to slightly improve the Center position and downgrade at PF (TurkeyDoodoo)? Any trades involving Dwight destroys the Knicks strength, their front court...aren't the Knicks supposed to improve their weakness(Backcourt)? It's like upgrading Tom Brady for Aaron Rodgers. Everybody knows Rodgers is the best in the game, but Tom Brady is still pretty dam good! It's the old trading the position of strength problem, we're already good there.

Great Points. Facing Dwight I'm actually comfortable with Tyson out there facing him one on one. Plus Tyson gets his points doing garbage work. Imagine having to go through 3 quarters of trying to post up Dwight Howard to keep him happy. Then One quarter of Melo Iso's.

Our team once Baron gets back is gonna be dynamic on offense. We already see glimpses.
