![]() When the Knicks gave up on the idea of a third superstar, they meant business. Can't remember a time when we were this agressive looking to make deals that actually will help us contend for a championship.
This is shocking for me as a Knicks fan. But in a good way. Knicks_Fan

![]() I had made my peace with giving up TD, but I am getting a little nervous as to what else we'd be offering, especially if a third team is involved.

![]() Can someone help me understand why Atl would want to pay the luxury tax for Walker, Balkman, and TD?

![]() i'd have to think Crawford could be effective here if not depended on as a primary guy.
damn, if they add Crawford and Barea, this team is gonna have some real depth at guard again. suspect defense? yes. gotta hope Shump is what they think he is. check out my latest hip hop project: https://soundcloud.com/michaelcro http://youtu.be/scNXshrpyZo

![]() This has the potential of being a great move because Crawford brings that extra weapon to the mix that a contending team needs. My major concern, as with many of you, is who we trade in this scenario. If it's Tony Douglas than what does the PG position become? Does the FO view Crawford as a PG in this system? Do they feel Bibby can start? And what happens to our back-court defense, would it suffer?

![]() Crawford's 10 games in NY under D'Antoni before the trades in November 2009:
W vs MIA 29pts 4ast 4reb 1stl 9/19FG 7/10FT He was a good fit for the D'Antoni offense, D'Antoni loved him. I think he's still a good fit. Hopefully he'd know his role was to shoot less. But he's a playoffs tested guard at this point. He led Atlanta to an upset of Orlando in the first of the playoffs last year, when Joe Johnson seemed out to lunch. ¿ △ ?

On a side note, I wish our front office could be this creative bringing in someone like Ridnour or Sessions. I don't see why we're trading one streaking shooting combo guard who plays defense for an older, more expensive streak shooting combo guard who doesn't play defense. I hope this trade fails. Ahh, just saw your post above crzymdups. It makes sense for Atlanta then. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Jamal is quite good at it. Have you guys watched Jamal lately? He's a different player. Did you see him lead Atlanta to an upset of Orlando in the playoffs? He was masterful. ¿ △ ?

I saw it, and Jamal has improved his shot selection the past few years. I'm not saying he sucks. But he is redundant. Fact is, TD is younger, a better three-point shooter, is a little steadier with the basketball and he plays better defense. Plus he's cheaper. I'd rather that the team focused its energies on a starting point guard if they pull off another trade. Another veteran PF who can make layups would be nice too. ![]() man I would love Crawford here... his defense would improve with this frontcourt. I always liked him as person, always wanted him to do well. I thought he was asked to do too much here. I think he would be a GREAT fit.
