Sometime you team just comes out and sucks..no explanation..add to that Mavericks are a great and deep team. Billups would be perfect for a game like this..slow down the tempo a bit.

72 points. This team should be ashamed of itself.

No chance Mike puts him in. Why? Because he's Mike.

The flexible coach.

You guys really think Gimli's brother will help here? Who is he going to check? Dirk Diggler? Because if he is guarding the center then Amare has to guard Dirk. I don't think you want that.

Has anything else worked so far? Williams is a good defender and rebounder and he's sitting on the bench.

Going to be tough when Amare is missing a lot of shots. He is 4 for 14 right now. Carmelo has been ok at 3 for 7 but we need more from him.

We're not losing because of offense.

It's the whole package that is failing right now. Not executing in offense or defense.

Mostly defense.

If you have 42 or whatever points at the half you should not be down by 21. At least a good defensive team wouldn't be.

We are shooting 35%. They are shooting 52%. It is both aspects of the game that we are failing.

I don't care about the FG %. We have 42 points on the board. We should not be down by 25.

OK. You win. We are losing because of defense only.

Why do you keep talking about layups? Are you Mike D'Antoni?

Are you watching the other side of the ball? We hve close to 50 points at the half, which is good, if not very good. they have 70!

So yes, it is ONLY the defense. 95% the defense.

Read my post. I said we are losing because of our offense and defense. We are not defending. We are not hitting our shots. I also said we are not rebounding. Dang man. Chill and enjoy the game.

I wish a team would just score 150 on us for everyone to realize D'antoni is not the answer to winning a title.

Obviously he is not talented enough to pay him that much money. And we don' need no stinkin' 7'er either.

Dallas is very good at blowing big leads but that would mean that we need to try to get a rebound. Big if!!

The Mavs play such a smart game. Player and ball movement is at the highest levels. Then you add great scorers and it's really tough to guard them. With the poor defensive effort we started with and the awful shooting we had, it's easy to see why we got down so much.

As for killing the Knicks for Brewer, you have to remember that there are financial considerations too. The guy looks great on a team with so much talent and skill, but lets not go crazy. He's playing with a chip on his shoulder too, cuz we didn't keep him. Good for him, but i'm not losing sleep over him. We've got bigger issues than the loss of this kid.

I can't enjoy this game because we are not playing at all on one side of the ball. They scored 72 points at the half. If we even put an effort in and if our coach was a better defensive coach with better rotations than we would not be losing by this margin.

I wanted Tom Thibodeau from day 1. Ultimately, when all is said and done, Walsh's one and only failure in New York will be hiring Mike D'Antoni as his head coach.

huh?@!

What money? we bought him out for a roster spot! We definitely don't need or want a defender with crazy hops! Who the hell would want that?

Like rebounding, boxing out and not getting back. That said the fouls are piling up. Did the Grizz run them down from behind?

Better coach!! Much better.

I am not gonna kill the knicks for getting rid of brewer, I am killing them for not giving him just a few minutes of burn before dumping him. Pig headded!

There were no financial considerations other than doing Brewer a personal favor. So they are NICE so what. NICE franchises finish ...

that was worst half of basketball since the melo trade.... the defense and the rebounding was horrendous. our offense went into lazy midrange jumper mode.

i'm almost tempted to throw the white flag and hope no key guys get hurt and sit amar'e for the rest of the game.

1st of all the Mavs are WAY deeper than the Knicks. They're better than the Knicks. We're on the road and they're at home. The Mavs came in pissed off about the loss last night and the coaches calling them soft. It's not like this can't happen that a better team comes out and blitzes you on their home floor. I just want the Knicks to put in some work in the 2nd half and make it a game. If that happens i'll be happy. This is why last nights win was so big, cuz this was gonna be a tough game to win no matter what.

The Mavericks scored a season-high 72 points at the half.

No, it doesn't happen regularly.

One game...so you throwing out the games they held some teams to under 100 during our good streak. The NBA season is a long season..not gonna be great in all games. Horrible half definitely but still a half to go. Lets see what they can muster up
