Briggs I agree .....

Would Love Melo but not for Gallo...... Gallo spreads floor better cause of his range.

I would prefer we keep our player and focus on a stud PG.

What Melo brings is scoring--hes no great defender--but look at his cost 25mm per + we would ahev to give up too many guys who are going to be greta contributors to winning--for what Gallo and Stats are the 1-2 scoring punch. We could use a starting 5 like Gasol much more than CA.

Still early but the naysayers are out-

14 assists by Felton and Douglas...good there.
27 turnovers Stat had one where he tried to dribble the length of the floor...it was just silliness. He also had a steal and slam off a made shot that was quicker than an Ali jab. He's beastly.

All in all Milan was a good team and the Knicks new to each other. Wouldn't say they were on a roll or doomed at this point

The russians are coming !

Stat and Gallo are very impressive - we have not had a player like Amare in years (if ever) - he fills the Ewing void, now we just need to get him more support.

Only able to see end of first half and halfway through second, Moz-Amar'e-Gallo looks like a great front court. Felton looked a little off, but I have seen him enough times before, he is better than that. AR did not impress yet, hoping for more from him.

The most impressive player after Amare was Chandler. I found Gallo's game lacking. Jacking up threes isn't my idea of a great player. He definitely has to bring more to the game than spot up jump shooting. Randolph should not be taking threes until his mid range game is refined. Mozgov look good out there. Randolph has good defensive skills. The Knicks still need another big time player. I like Felton's play but like Clyde said he has to become more offensive if he just relys on passing teams will slack off of him. Other than that it was a hard game to watch with all the turnovers.

Chandler looked very very good--like Allan Houston -- smooth and effective but with D and rebounding.

I said it before--we need to see what we have--too many people including some people in knick management have written off Chandler--and he very well could be a player that we decide to keep long term. Let him play 82 and improve off of the 15-5

I would think we would want that third PG but Im not sold on Turriaf---he cant rebound and Randolph is more of a mobile 4 man. We really could use another 7 foot player who can rebound--for the likes me of me why did we did not go back after Barron yet were messing with PE JR S Williams who play positions we are stacked at. rautins needs to go to europe.

We need another big and like you said a 3rd PG for depth

I can see why Nellie got frustrated with AR. The Dude don't pass the ball and I can see is a bonehead.

But he is our bonehead and he does have some freakish ability.

His brain is still in development. He gets 3 more years.

I didnt want to be the first to mention it. Randolph needs to focus on finishing plays not starting them. Watching Randolph made me appreciate Gallo a little more because Gallo plays under control and doesn't try to do too much.

The only thing that concerned me is he seemed to beast during "garbage" time.

Randolph played very well. Its like saying you cant teach being 7 feet--well you cant teach being 6-11 and mobile with the ball with the ability to get into the lane like that. He can do a lot of things and as he hones those skills--will be even more viscous to contain. It seemed like he played 35 minutes in 19--mistakes yes--but the good outweighed the bad by a wide margin and there is just so much there. Were a lucky team--we have unique F's--now we need a great 5.

D'Antoni was yelling at Randolph for a reason. Making mistakes is one thing but forcing shots and dribbling and getting the ball taken away are going to have him getting pine time.

he forced one shot--I mean he made 7-11. He didnt yell on a pick and made a couple of poor decisions with the ball. Actually I thought it was embarrassing for MDA to yell at him like that--but MDA seems to need to do that to someone.

I liked the way Randolph played too, for his first pre season game. He tried taking a 3 pointer early and when that didn't work, he did his work inside. The passing will come and the defensive intensity is there. He showed A LOT of talent and he looked very efficient in terms of his scoring. In terms of communication, that was bad but that stuff gets fixed in no time.

Randolph is going to be real good.

AR had multiple drives where I felt he could've passed to the open man.

However, on all these drives, AR finished and scored.

So... not sure what to conclude here.

He still needs to pass the ball. We don't need Harrington II on this team.
