Awesome post hardcore. It was a good read. I knew you had to be the one that started that chant. I even thought, somewhere in the 300's is the guy responsible for this. The important thing is to find the positive out of every negative. Maybe Chaney's shortcommings as a coach being exposed tonite will accelarate his departure. Lets hope.

All the things Hardcore said is correct. I was there with him and the rest of our crew @ the garden chanting "FIRE CHANEY". After this pathetic night, I just can't see Dum Chaney coaching any longer.

This Stupid coach was hearing it from the crowd. HARDCORE AND I along with the rest of the Knicks crowd constantly kept shouting "FIRE CHANEY".

THe team showed no Passion, heart or intensity. THEY FuC*i@g Look Dead out there on the court. A reflection of their stupid Azz coach..

I see Isiah definitely taking over as head coach for the remainder of the season. That way, the players will respond to him and play with passion, heart and intensity.

and the best part..all this was on National TV!!

too bad Marv tried sugarcoating it by saying the fans where calling for Stephon Marbury lol. Terrible Marv!

It was pretty obvious that they were chanting Fire Chaney!!!

yo hardcore that was a real post.. i deff agree wit everythin u said, i said earlier that what bothered me most is Chaney diddnt get up and get fired up like WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WIT U GUYS GET INTO IT

if your coach doesent get fired up, why should you?

the game was not just because they were unfamiliar, it was because they had no passion, no effort, thats what bothered me the most

nice job hardcore, nothing like a good chant. thats at least one positive from this game, it could be an element in getting a better coach. Isiah will probobly take over as coach next season though,

Hardcore is a fool, how can the players not get up for this game themselves ? Norris did . WHY, because everybody else is so unsure of what Zeke is gonna do as for a trade they played so timid it was obvious. Marbury is the key , but he doesn't fit this roster period. Harp on chaney all you want , but the hardest position to come in and play on a new team is pg. Chaney lets his players play the game and they couldn't knock down open jumpers and anybody who would refute that is a liar. ZEKE WILL FIND OUT THIS ISN'T "fantasy basketball" You need to have chemistry before great expectations. I hope they do fire chaney so we can see these new players act like they have played together for yrs together. ROFL spilling my coffee.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

The players are an extension of the coach. Look at HOuston they were in the game all night. They were scrappy and INTENSE. After the 1st timeout, NY LOOKED WORSE! They are trying to get Chaney fired.

Playa is a fool. He is just taking the opposite view of anything we say. The facts are that this team under CHANEY has NEVER shown passion, not once.

Marbury will fit any team with a system that is designed to use his talents. He is a top player. Look at Francis! He not only plays for JVG, he is having a breakthrough year in terms of understanding what it takes to win. That is a coach. It is a system. It is what the Knicks lack.

Fire - CHANEY!

I knew Isiah was PO'd. Everytime the camera was on him, you could tell. I wish I could have watched him glare at Chaney.

Hey, Norris looked comfortable because he was playing against he boys that's all. With these guys getting paid millions to play ball, they better not be playing scared or nervous because they might get traded, hell that's part of the pro business, make it Basketball 102, (101 is getting the ball in the hole more than your opponent).
Yes, Chaney has got to roll on the hell out of NYC.
Who will Zeke find as a head coach. Will it be a former Laker, Celtic or Piston?
We'll make the playoffs, but we're still rebuilding. As the old saying goes, "Maybe next Summer" In the mean time I will enjoy watching the rebuilding process by a true GM. GO KNICKS

i'll take this since hardcore is resting. you are right about chemistry, playa. but there is a thing called talent that works as well. marbury has the talent to get his team involved and take over when he has to. that will happen in less than a week. guaranteed. as far as coaching goes, c'mon. you can not tell me that chaney was not at fault. you of all people, play, were crying for chaney's head two weeks ago and now you are blaming zeke? a coahes job is to motivate, not just the players. are you telling me jerry sloan is not motivating the jazz to over achieve? how about poppovich? that is the coaches job and chaney failed MISERABLY.

What do we have to lose right now.
We will be better at the beginning of next season and will have had playoff experience as a new team.
When do you think should Zeke should have started the rebuilding or undoing what layden done..

But there is no reason for that pathetic show last nite. I could not believe how flat they came out.

Thomas must chop off chaney and stop this. He should promote Malone if he can fire them up. At least for the rest of the season.

Get your Tivo, VCR or whatever out. This should be a memorable game

It was memorable! Not quite what we expected.

Playa, first off JVG is the 3 winningest coach in team history. I would get off his ass and respect the job he has done. He was not perfect, and left in a bad way. Riley left on more despicable terms. JVG should have not gone into the season, that was his big fault. The job he did and the respect in the league allowed him to pick from many job offers, get paid top dollar, and got him a nice team to build with.

You don't have to like him, but he is irrelevant in the knick world now. We have bigger fish to fry. Chaney. A good man, an interm coach at best.

WHile I root for Thomas as I did for Laydog to do the right thing, last nite showed how delicate this thing can be. If Thomas Phucks this thing up, thats it for a few years. Not much assets to play with. He is taking big risks. Last nite was a window into a nightmare we don't want to go to.

NO excuse for last night. Chaney messed it up but it is clearly Thomas's team now. Moochie looked stupid last nite. Funky shot he has. Should grow his fro back. They all looked stupid. KVH did look like he was nervous. He had nice looks and Chaney should have encouraged him to take it in more.

Portland got knocked last nite, sheed looks awful.

Two franchise's going no where should do a deal. KT and anderson for Sheed. I don't know the cap numbers.

We still need KVH to rebound. That he did last nite.

'Core, sorry it sucked last nite for you. Big game turned flat. Beyonce looked nice as always.

Roy, I see your point. Marbury doesn't look good with the others right now. And those was 4 big games we gave back. But We are better off with a superstar point guard. I liked dice too! I hope we could get him back! I felt very good with our frontline. Now its bck to being a weakness. And ward. But hey, There is nobody more suited to don that uniform than Stephon. I know he needs help but that will come.


Frank is injured annd has no bearing on the losing streak. I like him too. But I feel much better with Marbury.

Does anyone care where Spree got his "inside information" from? Well, unless there is an explanation, Thats the next guy I want out. Just A thought.

KVH was the only player to show up !!!! 17 pts and 11 rebs !!! No one else had more then 6 rebs !!! We need to keep KVH at all cost !!!!!
