You also want some magical worker GM to build the team in no time from pile of crap.
Delusional as it gets.

3 years is "no time" to you? who's the one being delusional here? check yourself before u start throwing barbs... open your eyes & see the team for what it is instead of the fantasy you dreamt about in your wet dreams the other night... we have a crappy team right now & nothing has improved since DW took this job over except for the cap situation... yes, he needed to tear it down to build it back up again, who the fug doesn't know this? so it's not reasonable to expect some results this summer after the entire focus has been put on the summer of 2010 the past 2 years? what's reasonable to you? 5 more years then we start seeing results? gimme a break... delusional indeed.

It took 2 years to tear down this disgrace of all professional sports.
And it will take minimum 2 years to build it up to some average level.
It takes more than 5 years to build winning team when everything is cool and come.
In NY and with what we started 2 years back it can take 10 years and never happened anyways.
Do you think that Mike and Walsh are working in vacuum?
They have Mister Jimmy to report too and bunch of always unhappy inpatient NY fans around.

You are banking on best case scenario.
lebron, Wade, 2 supperstars... cool.
You can get lucky and win 100 mils in NY lottary... once in the blue moon.
Even with Bron you need other pieces.
Look at Cavs, 4 years and they still trying...
It takes time man.
It like you have a bunch of debt on you have and want to become wealthy.
First you need to work you debt out and then start building the wealth.
Or you can go and gamble... and most likely you will go even deeper under.
We went this path for 10 years. Enough is enough.

so let me get this straight... reasonable to u is we wait another 2 years until this team is back to average levels... then at least another year after that to get this team to winning level... so a total of 5 years to get this team back to playoff contention??? lol... these so called "impatient" NY fans you're talking about have waited 10 cot dayam years for someone to build this team back up to respectable levels & now you're asking them to wait another 3 years at least before we can expect any positive results... this is New York freakin' City dude, this ain't Chicago Cub fans you're talking to... if u expect that kind of patience out of fans u might want to root for another franchise.

I am not rooting for NY fans. I dont care what they are screeming about.
The only thing I know they will not get it fast regardless.
And if we will continue to rush it - never.

Isnt that what ya'll asked of Isiah, tho? And most of ya'll cats around here that are tripping over yourselves to fluff Divatoni's and Walsh's pillows were none to kind to Zeke after two years. Not supporting Zeke, just saying.

the cavs are a bit diff. being a contenderfor a title for those 4 years is a bit diff then being avg which is border line playoffs/lottery.

if this team is avg 2 years from now, what was the point of the targeted summer of 2010? if this is a hedge on possibly missing out on the best guys, you cant also argue the tmac trade(2011/2012 pick aspect) was needed as this means the swapped pick and traded pick may be far better for houston then many are counting on. those picks under a far longer time frame would be critical to us (to use or also trade).

I said from the beginning of Isiah run in NY that he is asked to do impossible things and he is the Yes man who will run with it and screw it to unbelivable exstend.
And he sure did.

You want to by this NY million lottary tickets... so they did.
But if we will not win the jack pot (most likely) we will have the good situation to strat working from blank sheet.

u could have hired a blind monkey to be the GM & we would have been an average team after 5 years... DW came in with credentials & expectations... if he wasn't willing to take on those expectations he should have never taken the job to begin with... NY fans don't care about what you're screaming about either, just so you know... NY fans are sick of rooting for a losing team, they want to see results... 10 years is a long time to wait for playoffs, i don't care what city you're talking about.

apparently that was 4th on his list of priorities

1. Clear Cap 2. Try to be competitive vie for a playoff spot 3. Develop young talent. 4. Have Gallo guarding opposing PG's.

Galo is put to guard PGs because we do not have any guard to do this.
A lot of words were wasted on Douglas being great defender and he is getting burned by any good PG every day.
All our other guards are so bad in defense and for this matter in anything that it is not even funny.
You have team with 4 NBA level players Lee, Galo, Chan, and Al; and the last one has one track brain. And you want some magical worker coach make these sore teams win.

And how is Toney Douglas supposed to learn? Douglas has all the tools to be a great on the ball defender. Giving up on him defensively in a lost season is retarded. Wasting and tiring out Danilo Gallinari chasing and guarding perimeter PG's who are twice as fast and quick is also retarded.

I do not see Toney benched or reduced in playing time. Are you?
Galo need an experience in all aspects of the game too.
And as you have to remember from JJ play under Mike, defending PG by PF is a part of Mikes system and worked well with JJ.

You need to have big names working with Knicks.
This is a part of Cablevision corporade agenda.
KingKong will be a good monkey to be a GM but he is retired.
So we have Walsh. But don't worry. He will retare soon and we will have other name...
