The guy in the tournament that has kind of gone unnoticed but has been sensational is Jacob Pullen. He reminds me of Chuancey Billups--maybe a couple of inches smaller but that kind of player. A guy who hits big shots plays physical D--just a tough SOB with a good deal of skill and moxie. This will be the type of kid who now only makes the NBA--although not prognosticated top--but also be a player.

Man you would think Tennessee was up double figures not down a couple at the half. The Vols played a lot harder and the Buckeyes definitely had a lot of problems with there size inside and trying to cover slashers Prince & Hopson. Chism's a nice big man as well and a tough cover with his inside/outside game...Hot shooting by OS toward the end of the half has put them in front. Good game so far.

Wayne Chism plays so hard and he's skilled -- guy crashes the boards, runs the floor, sets picks, posts and toasts inside with great footwork and extention, can finish well with both hands and can step out and shoot 3s like a guard. He's got a nice maturity about him out there as well. Really steppin' up and having a big 2nd half..This guy's gonna be a real nice pickup for someone in the 2nd round - if he could come up with a little bit of a handle, enough where he can take it to the rim himself from out high (he looks more like a guy that needs to be set up in spots), he'd be another Al Harrington..

This Evan Turner's definitely the real deal -- does it all - rebounds, runs the break the whole way to the cup with a superb handle and can score any which way -- on a slash, mid range jumpers off the spin...Anything mid-range is automatic. Very skilled...

Tennessee taking Diebler completely out of the game. Not giving him any daylight at all. Smart move by Pearl, telling his kids specifically to not leave this kid under any circumstances.

I dont know if I'm sold on Evan Turner being a big time NBA player. He's talented, but he seems a lil' soft.

Turner had 31 & 7 tonight and had to do a lot of it all by himself - he had his team up at multiple times throughout the game, even late. He's good. Billy Raf screaming "onions" down the stretch when he hit that big 3. The Vols are lucky they didn't hit Prince with a foul at the end there on that block of Turner (it did look clean looking at a slow mo replay)...Just looking at the replay of that last 12 secs., the play was supposed to be a hand-off to Diebler for a 3 but they blanketed him perfectly. He couldn't even receive the ball. Turner then had to force something...Great game man. You got the feeling early on it was gonna go right down to the wire and it did...

He's good, but he might be college good. I'm just not sure if he game will translate effectively to the league. Im not sure if I see All-star.

Do you think that if Kentucky had Jimmer Fredette playing PG instead of Wall that they wouldve won?

See it's all relative with fit but I think what fredette brings to the table wouldve been a better fit for Kentucky at PG in the big games. John Wall is not a reliable shooter and there is no way a team could bring a hard double at mid court the way K State could against BYU because all of their other athletes were superior. And it's funny because Fredette in 2-3 minutes could change that games momentum but Wall could not. Obviously Wall's top end physical talent trumps Fredette but with the right fit where he is playing with 4 good guys where you cant put extra pressure on him--you have to guard to 26 feet and that spreads the floor. While Wall can kill you on the break and he should even be better in the nBA with an open style of play--guys in the halfcourt are going to be able to exploit his jumpshot by sagging off and reducing space.
