Nene's shot attempts nearly doubled after AI got traded & JR's shot attempts went up by 20%
Through 41 games, the Knicks are averaging 83.3 shots per game (3417 shots divided by 41 games.
uses a tight rotation and Lebron and Melo would likely get 40 mins each. For the two of them to take 40 out of 83 shots is not hard. Plus, they might hit more of their shots, resulting a faster paced game.
Next, Lee is better cleaning the glass. His 10-14 shot attempts per game are fine (assuming we resign him).
Gallo? 10 shots should be fine.
Wilson cannot be re-signed if we sign Melo... his cap-hold would prevent us from signing another max FA in 2011.
Hill and Douglas? They need to earn the right to take shots, but there are still 18 shots to be had among Hill Douglas and the third rotation player. But I don't think there is a ball sharing issue in this respect.
