In my opinion the team is playing better than they thought.

They are certainly overachieving in my eyes. Just look at the roster. We don't have a go to guy, the defense is supposed to suck, and out best players are career journeymen.

This team makes the playoffs, might as well be Eddy coaching it lol.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

He was given a secondary chance after a horrible pre season and did some nice things in various games but he kind of floated down the tubes even before he was hurt. Im sure he will play again--but this unbelievable--obnoxious selfish attitude by some players is pretty disgusting. Hey Larry--millions of kids won't have two meals today--you've got it pretty good.

Listen if you were playing when the team was winning and felt that you were an integral part of it and got hurt wouldn't you want the spot back ? Getting Dnp's is not a good sign from the coach that we appreciated you when you helped us turned it around with your all-around TEAM play. It's not like he's a rookie like Douglas.

Now he's a bum with a bad attitude. wow

So MDA should show appreciation to him by playing him regardless of his performance? That sounds looney. The guy wasn't getting the job done. He was decent for a stretch (still shot 37%), but downright abysmal since coming back from injury. Then he goes and mouths off to the media. He truly is a bum with a bad attitude.

This is the same danphoney who played chris du-hon when guys like you were calling for his benching because of his play.

And the team was losing then.

Danphoney played him thru it remember. Naw you won't remember that. Duhon was even calling out his teammates in the media, but he's one of mikes pets so it's forgotten.

Larry Freaking Hughes is putting his expiring ass in front of the team and Berman today is making it like Knicks should be careful cuz Leon Rose is with Lebron and Eddy is good friends with one of Lebrons inner circle, and Larry socialized off season with Lebron.

Maybe this franchise is finally showing some backbone that it only cares about winning and no more bull**** regarding players not doing their job. Larry looked like crap at seasons start and it was his play that got him on the court. Injured or now you its the players that are earning the time, not their contracts or Vet Cred around here.

Larry is often injured and his game is not automatic.

If Lebron is doing anything he should understand as an Alpha looking for a new york team this is the kind of leadership that gets things done.

We are 11-6 our last 17 games and won 2 in a row. If anyting Larry Hughes should keep this in the lockerroom. It ain't about him!

Players sharing dirt about coaches carries a lot of weight in the NBA, just like GM'S and coaches talking about players reputation.

it only carries dirt because you want it to. lebron and every other max FA in this class already played for D'Antoni whether it was the olympics or joe johnson on the suns and all had great experiences with him. i'm sure larry hughes's opinion will supercede that......

What about players knowing whats really up? What about Players knowing that MDA is sitting on players demanding they play up to their contracts and vets be leaders and not stat whores for the next contract? What about an team that was a joke changing its culture that will only accept excellence.

If your a true hard working player you want that and want that environment for your players to be accountable. If you want to come to New York cuz Uncle Isiah got lots of money and has a vision then the handouts are not happeining any more!!

DLee has flurished in the system, and Wilson and Gallo are also coming along very well. Hill and TD are in the system and maybe the word is they are learning the ropes and have to earn the time.

Maybe Larry is dogging it? Maybe his injury was not so bad and could play but his choosing to lay low? His play coming back speaks for itself!

How bad does it look if nobody sits on Nate and coaches let him clown around? How bad does it look if Eddy is allowed to continue to get fat stay out of shape and he gets paid while others are busting their ass to improve the team and their contract status?

No, if a player does not want to be held acountable and just get paid to mail it in then I prefer we save our cap for players that bring it.

If Lebron is that kind of player then he'll understand and should welcome a tough ass coach.

Yes. It's not like LeBron is going to be in danger here of being inactive... "Hmm maybe I should listen to Larry Hughes... i might get benched in NY"

Is LeBron THAT stupid?

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Are the people parroting Berman THAT stupid? is the question.

What makes me sick to my stomach is that peeps be like "MDA is at fault, he should communicate better", but why aren't peeps being like "Larry Hughes is an absolute moron, why is he incapable of inferring that he will be benched if he sucks? Why does MDA have to communicate such simple ideas?"

We have people who think I'm saying Lebron will be on the bench under dantoni, then others who think I'm saying Hughes can demand playing time.

No what I am saying is be a man (as coach)and tell players where they stand PERIOD when the coach is going in a different direction. Then move on.

Danphoney is known to be a liar, remember when he told stephon to come to camp in great shape to run in his system and allowed him to play during preseason and steph did just what was asked of him. Then the ego manical one flipped the script, didn't even tell walsh he was going to sit Marbury and give him DNP's. Well I know these facts won't hold water with danphoney lovers, they will twist this some way.

Walsh told him to come into shape. Besides why you gotta tell a 20 million dollar a year athlete to come into shape.

What if he came into camp in great shape and was not playing well? Not fitting in? Being the "me-first" player he has always been?

MDA basically told the world that your not gonna play just because of your contract.

Again, It was walsh that was quoted with telling Marbury.

MDA has a great rep with his players in PHX.

We talking about Larry Hughes here. Larry might be the best guy ever but we talking business here. Lebron ain't stupid.

We got chubby checker's in the house. Why would he have to tell him to come in shape, if that wasn't the criteria to be judged by. He sure didn't play me 1st ball in preseason.

Well I hope you got the memo, if a coach told you to come in shape and the slate was clean, what impression would that give you as a player.

He performed better than duhon in the preseason and everybody knew it. Duhon broke down during the season. Backfired on Mr ego manical

He does have a massive ego. One of the biggest in the league. Why does this matter?

I just hope that people will like me
