What do you take from that?

i take from it that they're both good players.

I take that lee should not have taken 20 shots and should have been looking to outwork lopez and keep him off the board.. lees 24 points were useless in that, we could have gotten some of those points from chandler... we needed lee to keep lopez out of the lane... make him work hard... lee trying to be a main option offensively in a game like this is not necessary.

David Lee is playing to get paid. His late stat padding was quite humorous. I cant hate the guy for wanting to cash in though. My issue is he is abusing slower Centers but I'd like to see him against other PF's since he isn't our center of the future.

Lee worked hard but at times looked like a small four trying to defend Lopez. The Nets may have something in Yi after all. I knew he was talented but he played a tremendous all around game tonight. I think MDA needs to loosen up his rotation when his team is going up against a big time center like Lopez. Curry, Hill, or Darko should have gotten some run tonight. Hill should have seen some minutes at least in the fourth quarter.

One lost by our Knicks to Nets won't hurt them
Nets outplayed NY and wanted it more

Glad Knicks lost since D'Antoni is a pain in neck with his ways towards Nate Robinson
I aint saying Nate is a reason for winning and losing games, NY been winning in December.

Knicks lost tonite dont bother me since D'antoni isn't always right.

What happened tonight was the Nets starting 5 was just more talented and physical than the Knicks starting 5 --they were faster bigger stronger and showed more skill. Yes we were on B-B but to get smoked by the Nets??????????/

yep--they are bigger faster more athletic in the starting unit. Tonight they were more skilled 1-5--they haven't played much with this unit but if they can get some bench play--they will win more games.

I am not sure about Yi being inconsistent. If you are willing to give Gallo a chance I think you have to do the same for Yi. I watch alot of Net games and Yi played really well the first couple of games this year but then missed 20+. I have heard that part of his improvement is his increased understanding of English compared to a year ago. He looked like the guy in the highlights they showed at the draft three years ago tonight.

I just finished watching this game. Duhon is a piece of ****. The guy is all about him. He doesn't look to set up anyone but Lee because that is the only way to bump up his assist numbers. And then jacks up shot after shot. That shot where he just ran up the court and threw up a 30 foot shot was ridiculous. He must lead the team in heat check shots. He doesn't compete on defense. Harris and Dooling made a fool out of him. Just ran by him and he just blew it off like no big deal. I hate this guy so much. This guy is starting to make Harrington look like an efficient player. Where is the field general to dictate the tempo of the team? Hell Chandler and Lee ran better point than this guy. A piece of ****.

Well you may be right
But this POS(hit) Coach D'Antoni respects and states is one of his best players and leaders.
Go figure the coach. Duhon does alot wrong and is at most a 2nd backup PG at best.

king 1 dead on as usual. The Nets are enormous and skilled upfront--how can we defend that when their guards are also big and athletic? You can see where the Nets have a future just as much or more than the Knicks.

i agree w/u CrushAlot... i don't get the Yi bashing that's going on in this forum, if Gallo had a night like he had tonight we'd all be gushing right now... Yi's putting up more than respectable #'s this year for a kid his age... i saw an aggressive kid in the post & he was calling for the ball all night... totally owned whoever was guarding him... kid is developing some very nice skills over there, a nice low post game now to go along w/his perimeter shooting ability... even blocked a couple shots in impressive fashion... he's got some Chris Bosh like skills from what i can see, he just needs to be consistent just like any young player including Gallo, who was absolutely horrible tonight.

is no one going to mention that the team got JOBBED by the refs tonight? JOBBED. one of the refs must have had money on the nets, seriously. ridiculous non-calls for the nets left and right.

this game seemed like some bad calls, some hot shooting by the nets and the team had no legs on the second half of a back to back.

i think the main thing to take away from all that is that rotation is too short - we need size? why isn't jordan hill playing? why didn't toney play more? and, of course, if we need a spark on offense there's that nate guy. i know the tighter rotation has helped the team play better - but it will wear them down by february. remember duhon breaking down last year? get ready, it's going to happen more.

teams that play aggressively usually get the calls... the Nets were taking the game to us & outhustling us on every play... the Knicks were worn down & tired, u could see it... Gallo had nothing in his shot, his legs were shot... same for Hughes, he wasn't focusing at all & making sloppy turnovers not even playing defense which for him is uncharacteristic... Duhon looked like crap after hitting his first 4 three pointers in the 1st quarter... the only guys balling tonight were Lee, Wilson & Harrington later in the game... Fishlips got into foul trouble & contributed nothing tonight either... i just can't fathom why on a night like this where guys are sucking some serious wind & having bad nights, we can't find minutes for TD, Hill or Nate.

sometimes good teams lose games. the recent trend is still a winning team and they will continue to kick butt. no worries.

I watch a lot of nets games as well. I gave Yi two full years, I used to root for this guy, but I have come to the conclusion that he will give you a few nice games and a bunch of head scratchers.... he is not a smart player and plays smaller than his size.... Maybe he is starting to get his stuff together. I will admit if I am wrong, but I have been down this road with this guy before..
