We have to be getting draft picks and/or prospects since we are giving up way too much talent in the trade and usually the teams that do that get nice future pieces. If that is the case, and I hope it is, this is a heck of a trade.

I agree with that. But without it, I suppose it helps long term but without either, this season is rendered completely unwatchable. my preference is for some prospects so they can (hopefully) develop.

Mine too, but I guess that to make the whole plan possible, a trade like this had to happen. Im sure Walsh may have expected it later on in the season or probably the next one, but with such a hot start, he had to jump on a deal if it was exactly what he needed. But IMO, draft picks and/or prospects are part of that plan, so I hope some will come back from this deal. Hey, both Warriors and Clippers get better, why not giving us their first round picks for this or next season?

Wow Im on the official Blake Griffin bandwagon now--tank tank tank--were due a top pick for goodness sakes---were finally doing what Portland did AND we COULDVE done it ALREADY :(((

maybe not. teams could have wanted to see how jamal and zach played this year before opening up for them. they're expensive cats.

Yeah, the hot start and great play from both has definitely had an impact on their trade value and the fact that trades like this one could happen.

I think D'antoni...with any decent amount of talent....is too good of a coach to allow is to approach a bottom 5 record.
Agree.. Duhon pushing the ball with Nate, Harrington, Mobley, TT, Chandler and Q firing up 90 shots a game will actually win you some games. Thats a lot of athletic firepower and MDA knows how to get them good looks in great volume

If this goes through as reported this is really a tour de force move by Donnie. Setting up the rebuild all in one move while keeping the young core in tact and not losing any further picks.

We'll see if that holds up, but I'm might impressed.

Anyone else think this is the real reason Mike D, benched crawford on tuesday?

Hopefully we hear what the real deal is soon, I'm a huge JC fan and it has been fun watching zach this year...I understand this is for the long term good of the team but as a ticket holder it's a little dissapointing that we are getting worse in ther personnell department this year. I was enjoying this team. :/

pure salary dump with cuttino and TT, but one thing I will say about cuttino. the guy will compete and will not get intimidated by bigger and stronger SG's..

Blake Griffin sucks. Guys shoots 85% from the field. If he is so freakin good why is he missing 15% of his shots?

i think the wild card factor to this deal that people might be sleeping on is that jared jefferies will soon be our starting center. with him as the glue and duhon setting everyone up, we don't need much else. just plug in guys who can shoot.

I was going to start a new topic, but what the heck, I'll post it here.

If Crawford and Collins go, does Marbury re-appear? Maybe Crawford was just being featured?

If Marbury plays and buys in to the concept, only for the sake of his own personal good as it is a contract year, the team may actually stay competitive.

Whachooguysthink?

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

More likely that Curry reappears. I think the issue with Marbury is deeper....I would highly doubt he ever appears in a Knick Uni again.

Elite that is a sick pic
