Honestly, Zach is all stats. He missed 10 shots tonight. He shots 43% from the field. For a big man that's terrible. Like I said in another thread, he is the Ricky Davis of Power Forwards. A better comparison would be a bulkier Antoine Walker who can rebound better.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I guess the loss falls on Chandler's shoulders according to D'Antoni's. Got to get more out of him was his thoughts.

This game for me is still a huge improvement cuz Dallas is such a deep and talented team and I think we can play with them!!! Just remember how small and outgunned we are in comparison and yet if we make some VERY makeable shots we beat that team. Even in a loss I see good things.

I agree. The team is going to lose sometimes but it is nice to see them compete the entire game rather than go down 25 points in the first quarter and fight their way back. The team has a good confidence about it. I think we still finish under .500 but I will enjoy the ride now. WE NEED A MOBILE CENTER BIG TIME.

Yeah, he sucks. Lets trade him for a second rounder fast.

What a steal for us that will be...

Nice job. I must be blind. You have to point out where I said "trade him for a 2nd rounder" in that post. I must not be able to see it.

The dilema is:

Do we want them to finish well below .500, enough for us to want the world to end, so we have, again, a better chance at getting a high draft pick and continue the rebuilding process

or

Do we want them to keep above .500, get a chance in the playoffs and feel proud of them?

This loss has me down.

We have to keep things in perspective! This team has made great progress so far, but we have so far yet to go! I can't wait to see this team when we get help at C and a bit more experience.

I will say that Jamal is a huge problem IMO. He breaks the offense too often and it really does hurt the team.
I hate when he has the ball looking to orchestrate cuz he just makes poor decisions. Since Nate isn't ready to run the offense either that means Duhon is the only PG we can depend on and speaking of Duhon, how do all the guys who bashed him feel now! ............... Yeah not much to say! No more Doo doo jokes!

I must say that Violet Palmer is the Sarah Palin of referees.

That is all.

Someone needs to kick her in her ****... if she has one. She might have a dick.

Seriously, I usually bash people who blame the refs for losses but I could have sworn we were playing in Dallas... or Germany (Dirk)... anywhere but the Garden, ya know, our home court?

And I'm not talking needing calls to win...I'm talking about watching Dirk take 5+ steps nearly every single time he picks up his dribble. Not to mention serious ticky tack - our jerseys touched - type fouls ALL in favor of the Mavs.

Yeah, it was bogus.

Still, no excuse to run a ridiculous Don Chaney type offense down the final few minutes - ya know, hold the ball for 22 seconds then jack a useless shot. What the hell? If the guys in the game were tired then you put in those who arent and KEEP RUNNING.

9 point lead turns into an overtime blowout loss?

Eh, bad calls but moreso BAD COACHING!

You are right on both accounts. Im really happy we've made so great progress. Nothing but good things so far. Tonight was depressing, but its a long way and we are learning. One thing, though, they better address their 4th quarter issues because its becoming a continuous problem. The way we play offense, we have to keep running until the end, if not be better prepared to play effective half court sets or else we will keep losing this way.

I think that when Jeffries comes back we will improve a little. He will play at C and if there is something we can count on him is to play good defense. It will hopefully be fun. But we better keep the 2010 plan moving because this team, to make any real noise in the future, we need a star.

I still didn't see you point out where I said that.

In any case, he needs to be traded. You need to sell high on the guy. Keeping him and risking yourself being unable to move his gigantic contract is a big risk.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Completely right. What worries me is that its becoming a trend. That needs to be fixed fast.

Dude, I wasn't attacking you. I know you didn't say that. Its more of a general response to the MANY people that thought it was a good idea and may use that argument to justify such a silly scenario.

I know that, down the road, most of this team will have to go. We can't be the contenders we want to be with these guys. I'll enjoy the run while it lasts and hope games like the one he had elevate his trade value so we get a great package for him.

And given his numbers and the fact he has done everything the coach has asked him, I hope we get a lot in return.

You can't worry about Zach, cuz overall he's a net positive IMO. We have issues in other areas that are much more pressing. If Jamal had his head in the game we could've won. Jamal is supposed to be our star guard and he's not playing within the flow and he's not showing leadership in crunchtime. He should live at the free throw line at the end of games and be able to take over and break teams down to create for others.

Thats exactly why we can't consider him our star guard and the reason why we need a better player in his position at some point in the next two years. He can shoot the lights out when he is hot, like he has been in this strong start, but those details that you mention would really make him a star but he has never done that. I wonder if D'Antoni will let him know. But as you said he had to have a different approach on offense and he didn't. But he has always been like this, thats why we need an upgrade there, not to mention the other positions...
