Plus my definition of BPA is different than I see with some here. BPA is usually understood as a player who can help a team right away. You don't have to wait on such player but yet when it comes to Gall-Atari I'm hearing wait 3-5yrs from now who's the best.

No let's go by who the best after next yr.

No, let's not. That's not the point of this thread.

And it's funny how you're trashing this pick and yet you want a 6'3 SG on your team.

Height doesn't define success or lack thereof we already proven this. Move On!

At SG it does and I don't need to move on if you're still harping on the same issue buddy. Stop with the "I hate Gallinari" posts in every topic.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Monta Ellis is a SG

Allen Iverson is a SG

Ben Gordon is a SG

Jason Terry is a SG

Arenas is a SG

Barbosa is a SG

Debunked over and over and over and over. So EG could be as good as A.I. or as bad as Barbosa pretty damn good company with the range he has to be compared to.

But all these players mostly play the PG position, Einstein. Instead of trying to "own" people in this thread, tell me why in Gods name would we need a Jason Terry or Leandro Barboa on this team (which Gordon is not btw, but I digress)? Why do we need another scoring guard in love with the outside shot? Do you have any idea on this team's needs?

Dude I totally agree with you on all accounts, especially the owning part.

EG reminds me of Foye, except he's shorter than Foye and has a worse attitude. But yeah, he's a star. a great shooter who shot 30% from college 3pts.

I already stated I like him way better than Jamal. I already explained what my theory was if we kept the pick. You take BPA @ 6, or player of need, or both if the criteria fits. I feel Gordon was the BPA on the board @ 6. I'm cool with people disagreeing with me on this and he's not the only player I feel was BPA over Gall-Atari @ pick 6. Some people didn't want Gordon under any circumstance that's fine.

Jason Terry has played alongside Harris and Kidd the past 3yrs as SG. We're talking about them playing basketball at a given position at their height for any given period of time. You don't think EG may see some time at PG from time-to-time even if it's for short stretches

Barbosa Ditto I mean that is the reason Banks was signed by D'Antonio right? Matter of fact this last season they made a statement in the press saying Barbosa isn't a point guard.

Ben Gordon plays next to Hinrich and/or Duhon ast 3yrs as a SG

A.I. is a SG but can play either position played SG for several yrs next to Eric Snow

Monta Ellis plays SG next to Baron Davis

Arenas plays point but plays as a 2, Antonio Daniels played heavy minutes at the 1 while Arenas would play the 2.

Bottom line if you're too short to play the position, you're too short to play the position. I mean what is going to happen to Gordon? Is he going to get his shot blocked all the time? Isn't Beasley too short to play power forward?

Since its been a little slow i thought that I would bump this. I originally planned to do it a year later but I think now that two years have passed its allowed us have a better grasp of what each players career will be like. Interesting to see how high the board was on Joe Alexander (who?). Thoughts?

we should ban Bippity, Crzymdups, Allanfan20, and Fish right now for their picks. Is this guys still in the league?

I think Mr Alexander is out of the league now. And Bayless? 9 points and 6 assists to Gallos 15 and 5 rebounds? We would be fawning all over Gallo if we passed on him

alot of people who disagreed w/the decision to draft Gallo were up in arms we didn't take Bayless... funny how things worked out... Bayless has done nothing to distinguish himself in the league... Gallo on the other hand, looks like a real up & comer.

I THINK Joe Alexander is playing for the Bulls now...I didnt list him, but I thought he was going to have a better NBA career. Enjoyed watching him play College ball. shame.

DJ on the other hand is hopefully going to step right into that vacant PG position in Charlotte.

I was 100% ok w/ the Gallo pick and defended quite strongly. I knew nothing about him so I didnt pick him. Once we took him and I started doing the research he looked pretty solid

Alexander was a guy I really liked in college. However he was an athletic freak and got hurt. When your game is based around running and jumping and then you cant run and jump thats going to put you out of the league pretty fast.

Bayless I wanted no part of and am glad we passed there. Eric Gordon is better than I thought but have yet to see him win any games. Taking a lot of shots on a bad team isnt very impressive imo.

The mental game also got Alexander. He lost some athletic ability and it started to mess with his confidence. That's why being a GM is a tough gig. There is no way you can get it right every time.

By the way, the year before I picked Rondo, so f everyone!
