Rafer is killing the Jazz. Goodness Gracious. Bombing away from 3pt line.

Is it just me or did CButler take like 5 steps on his way to a winning shot?

And if Jordan, not LeBron was going to the basket, he would have gotten a foul called (and probably made the basket).

Calderon really showed a lot of class in his last press conference of the season. I dont think he is an all-star and maybe not even a starter for a very good team, but the guy is really cool and smart with everything he says. I hope he gets good contract somewhere. Look at this vid.

I'm still amazed the Lakers gave him up for Kwame Brown. It defies logic.

Then again, Kwame Brown got them Pau Gasol so... *shrug*

Yep they are totally two different individuals T.J. and Jose. T.J. still expressing he wants to be starter and Jose saying he'll play whatever role to remain a Raptor, whether it's coming off the bench or a starter. One is 100% team the other is 75% self 25% teammate. I love Jose seriously I truly do. Matter of fact shame on me for not mentioning him as one of my Favorite players in this league.

It worked out better for him anyway, he was playing next to a selfish creep now turned good teammate guy and wasn't allowed to showcase his true talents.

tj said he views himself as a starter. he also said jose's great and is a starter also.

jose said all the right things but in a spanish paper about a month ago, and i'm paraphrasing, "i made alot of sacrifices for the team so i hope they understand that come contract time."

breaking down on a psychological front...tj has a napolean complex. but without it, he wouldn't have been able to make the nba and come back from serious injuries. he's not a cancer like others have suggested. does he have attitude? yes. does he have some growing up to do? yes. but he's an asset that can help a team. this year was a tough one for him b/c so much sh t went down. prior to the injury, he was playing the best ball of his career. then he gets hurt, jose takes over and play at an allstar level. then he comes back when bosh goes out for 2 weeks...the team loses, he's still coming off the bench, and the media is blaming him for it. he never came off the bench before in his life and the adjustment wasn't easy. so sh t hit the fan this year.

it was very interesting to see how the toronto media portrayed the tj/jose situation. tj became the enemy and jose was the hero. just reading their papers and hearing what was being said, tj, who they lauded the year before, suddenly got criticized only after jose started playing really well. not a peep before the injury. but after he gets hurt and jose blossoms, they can now get on tj for everything. for me, it was very interesting to observe this. even their announcers would get highly critical of tj.

tj would get ripped for defense, when jose quite arguably is the worst defender in the league at the pg spot. although i must say, i love his *clap* when a shot goes up. then tj gets criticized for taking ill advised shots and being a ball hog even tho he was averaging 7 assists a game as a starter. he never played with a healthy bosh, and when the team went 0-5 out west w/o bosh, it was b/c tj was a selfish player. meanwhile, w/o bosh, nobody on the team had the juice to score or create their own shot but him.

i love calderon. i love tj. i think both are awesome players that bring two different styles of play to the table. neither one has outplayed the other and it's not easy to "pick" one b/c the other one will go someplace else and play well. i think at some level, race also plays a part in how each player has been portrayed. it's turned into an unfortunate situation. and one that will be resolved this year once a trade is made. but let's say jose gets moved...the media will be back lauding tj like they were before jose blossomed.

I have no problem with what Jose said because the guy deserves to get paid, especially when his team says he'll be the number one priority in the off-season. Jose's just saying come correct and at the same saying "If I was a starter in this league I could have put up possibly even better numbers". His salary shouldn't be too far off from what T.J. is making. T.J. makes $8mil/yr Jose should at least get $6.5mil/yr.I understand the dichotomy of T.J. being the more eletric, younger, upside, physically talented player vs Calderon. But I like Calderon because he's safe, trusted, efficient, selfless(to a fault), and more of a glue guy. If they can keep both and truly believe they can make it work sure keep both. Forderon is nasty, there isn't a better duo to watch in the league, but if they have a opportunity to improve by letting one go, I'd keep Jose and use T.J. as a pawn to get what's needed. Keep scouting overseas and find a backup point there or look in the draft for one, if you can't get one via T.J. trade.

they have a euro 20 year old pg coming over next year (roko ukic) and tj will be traded. i think it's almost a 100% given.

So they have rights on this Roko kid? Is he the one we watched on this site about a month ago someone posted his Youtube video? If I recall this guy was like a Souped up Jason "White Chocolate" Williams. If so good for them now it's all academic Bang 4 Your Buck on Ford and ride it out. I have the utmost confidence in Colangelo his trading this summer will be Epic.

Toronto is Euro friendly, Calderon wins hands down the fans have bought into Stern's idea of bringing euro leagues to the NBA- TORONTO IS AHEAD OF EVERYONE.

If they can't trade for and retain a real PF in canada this team will continue to be soft come playoff time, it won't matter how many regular season games they win.

home court has nothing to do with it. before the playoffs, i expected 2 sweeps, utah over houston and boston over atlanta.

why? b/c houston is not good enough to beat utah without yao.
atlanta is just not that good yet. bibby is not a good pg for them and they are just too inexperienced.
plus boston will want to come out and blitz them so they can rest their guys AND send a message to the league.

I told you atlanta would hold court, and washington is better without Arenas. Cleveland is in trouble, their supporting cast has never played in big playoff games before.

Boston is in for a rude awakening, this series will be closer than some think. Boston wins 4-2.

Detroit let's philly young players know what the post season is all about.
DET wins 4-1

Orlando has Toronto in their back pocket and will hold them under 100 pts.
Orlando wins 4-2

Wizards shows Lebron last yr was a fluke, clev new players can't handle the intensity the wiz play with ;even with Lebron.

Wash wins 4-3

WESTERN CONF

Denver takes the FAKERS to the brink and give them a wake up call, Melo arrest brings the team together Kobe and co still win though.

LA wins 4-2

Dallas got their groove back when Dirk went down with the injury and came back ready to go, Hornets coach and kidd from the NJ days have a lil gruge match, only problem is byron isn't playing.Hornets players don't know what postseason is all about. Peja likes to hit backboards when the pressure is on.

Dallas wins 4-2

Shaq isn't washed up and Ginoboli is banged up, Phoenix will do whatever they want to do and Spurs will go cold offensively and Nash and co will get the revenge factor up; Horry won't be knockinf down game winners anymore and will be sent into retirement.

Phoenix wins 4-2

Utah has the rockets # come playoff time, Houston plays a little better without Yao Ming , Scola and Alston must be outstanding for the rockets to have a chance. Sloan will have his team ready to rumble with precision passing and clutching and grabbing defense.

Utah wins 4-1

I just flat out blew the spurs- phoenix and dallas - N.O SERIES

If they win tonight, they have nothing to lose in Game 7. If I were Woodson I'd tell my team if we make it to Game 7 Go balls out at TD BankNorth Garden. Just play as free and hard as you can.

If they win, I would put there chances of winning a game 7 in Boston(they've been blown out all 3 times so far in the playoffs in Boston) at about 1%.
