Sorry, Walsh is essentially slighting Isiah and Layden's approach. He just said what folks have been wanting the Knicks GM to say for years that we have not been able to get into the free-agent market for years.

In other words, previous GM's have hurt the team's ability to really improve.

Another tough question about Isiah, which seemed to irk Walsh a bit, asking why keep Isiah around at all. He said, "That's my way of doing things..."

Look, the man is coming in and has to be careful to not make a huge circus again around someone's firing. I think this is a way of approaching it more carefully, and even respectfully to Dolan who probably does not want to be completely humiliated.

I'm glad the media keeps harping on Isiah.

This can only make Walsh more likely to get rid of him.

The media and New York will turn on him immediately once they hear the news of Isiah staying.

Theres no way Isiah can stay.

I don't think that Isiah can't stay and fans won't accept it. Probably not as coach, but in a behind the scenes manner, it could be okay as long as he's not the top decision maker.

ESPN News shoing the Pacers schooling the Knicks. I think that was the game I was at where we were tied going into the 4th and then lost by either 20 or 30 points.

Looks like this Isiah-to-no-Isiah transition is second worst thing for Isles after Islanders this year...
