I want to re-visit this thread when shaq blows up in Phoenix.

I can't wait to hear what Barkley says tonight on TNT.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

if we are seeing shaq final years in the nba shaq in phoenix means only one thing......"instant championship"

shaq is one of the few missing links that have the ability to take a bonifide playoff team to the promise land.

and if shaq can focus to achieve this final ring, when shaq retires, he will be known as "lord of the rings"

Shaq was brilliant in his press conference. It's easy for someone to say they just want to fit in, but he called it the Amare project. He sees his job as making other players better and he's determined to make Amare's numbers go up, not his own. That's pretty rare from anyone but a PG.

I think the Suns reg season record will suffer, but this is all about the playoffs when things slow down anyway. It's a huge gamble for the Suns but A) doing nothing would have been a huge gamble too, with lower odds of success (if a championship is the ultimate barometer of success) and B) when you need to gamble, gambling on one of the best ever might not be the worst idea in the world.

I've been pretty disinterested this year, but with the recent trades the season is becoming very interesting now.

Right, and Detroit and Boston will be no pushovers either.

I'd like to see Cleveland do something to get into the mix.

cleveland, pheonix, detroit have great GM's and great management. Ours in comparison is in the stone age.....It is a shame that the knicks just don't matter, I mean historic shyt is happenning, shaq with the suns, the celtics big 3, lebron's greatness, the lakers matter again, the spurs still a threat, I mean this is shaping up to be one hell of a playoff run, and the knicks just don't matter, it goes beyond being bad, we are just irrelevant!!!

Remember that blurb of them taking a NATV game of ours off air come March? LOL that was like over a month ago. We couldn't even make headway to possibly reverse judgement, instead we plummeted to earth's core.

Who cares really because I love the game more than this team, that I can confidently say without any reservations. It would be more than nice if we mattered but since we don't, it doesn't drown out the excitement on the horizon.

Like I said before, Isiah was sent on a mission to destroy NYC basketball, he's from chicago for crying out loud!

If the heat can pick pick up Derrick Rose to handle the ball and with all the money they will free up at the end of the season ( j will, r davis ) they can acquire a good free agent and be right back to the championship mix next year.
