If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

What next, we define a hater as someone who mixes tabacco with the weed vs a lover who prefers using a bat?

Forgive me for this but I'd maintain that you are the equivalent of an ultimateknicks.com "hater" just as Islesfan is a "hater" of the Knicks even though both of you are unequivocally fans of both by the criteria of time sacrificed, passion shown, and a professed or inferred stake in the future well-being of the enterprises.

B-I-N-G-O

Hate the haters. Love the game.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I'm glad to see that RemBee has helped return our focus where it belongs -- on the Knicks.

I wonder if the lover v. hater debates will ever end. It's really interesting how the board just fell into that mode after a while. I don't recall it always being like that. It mirrors so many aspects of society it's almost disturbing. Why do people insist on splitting everything up into these silly dichotomies? It's like political affiliations. People can be ignorant to what others say while focusing attention on the label. Haters are anti-american. Lovers are loyal and true. It has frustrated a lot of good conversation. Granted, I still see enough good bball talk that I don't think the board has been ruined. But I wouldn't mind seeing all the lover / hater talk put to rest. No offense to anyone who is passionate about it.

They're just words. It's part of the natural human tendency to want to categorize things. Then some of us make a joke of it and wind up perpetuating it.

I think we need different labels, like "The Sharks" and "The Jets" just to get away from the sheer monotony of it all.

HAHA!! I see the humor in it. I know you do for sure. And that's the only saving grace to the "war". I definitely don't take it seriously, but when I see topics like this -- I realize that some people do take it very seriously. Sharks and Jets is cool. But we can also diversify and make it really interesting, how about: The Turnbull A.C.s, The Lizzies, The Rogues, The Orphans, The Baseball Furies, The Punks and The Gramercy Riffs.

That would be awesome. It also has the benefit of not being binary.

You guys are funny
I just hope that people will like me

Without confirming or denying rumors and allegations of my use:

Europe is mainly about hash, so mixing it with tobacco is the standard way to puff.

Of course the herb in Amsterdam is off the hook, and you can get killer kind bud in Berlin cheap. Italy is hard to score in if you don't have much time, but in Spain if you know the right headz decent hash is cheap.

In Tanzania, the bud is terrible but you can get massive quantities of it for $5. Puff a fat one if you can, but since it is hard to find papers, you can break a bottle, roll up some cardboard and put it in the neck. Stuff the broken end of the bottle full of "Bongy", and you're set. Follow that up with a nice large cup of tea and enjoy your safari!

Without acknowledging a statement that was neither confirmed nor denied, I've been to Amsterdam twice and Amnesia Haze is the best there is IMO... and the strain DEFINITELY lives up to its name. Go to Barney's, grab a sack, and order some pancakes. That place legitimately makes the best breakfast food I've ever had... I actually ate there sober test that theory out.

Sorry for hijacking the thread BTW, it's just that this is infinitely more entertaining that the "Lover vs. Hater" argument I see over and over and over again. I'd rather not think about it and smoke a joint.

^^^^ MY Favorite Spot in Amsterdam was "De Dampe Kring" [sp?]

The most potent was: "AK47" (Hydro), but some people opt for the "bio" and get something that still allows one to walk around without thinking the CIA is after you, something like "Orange Skunk"...

I don't know if you spelled it right either, but that place was my second favorite. Great selection and it had an awesome layout. The place felt like a classy joint, which is rare for a place where you go to smoke narcotics...

Barney's also had that type of bud and the best breakfast in the world, so that gets my top overall vote. It wasn't a classy place though and felt like you were eating at a mess hall. If you go back, make sure you try Barney's. Apparently, everyone who has ever been can't say a bad word about the place:

^^^ I had a friend who knew a local so he put us on to De Dampe Kring, because it was less touristy and had good prices wit award-winning bud. After De Dampe Kring the spots in the Red-Light District seemed seedy tawdry establishments.

The funny thing is, when people go to Amsterdam, they think they will smoke weed all day. But the smoke is so good, you don't have to overdose. You have to find something else to do. The Heineken factory is pretty sweet.

The Dutch also like to play ball. Those mothers are tall, but they all play like Rik Smits.

If I get to go back I will check out Barneys.

You cats have both mentioned spots that I haven't been too. I guess I ended up at the more touristy joints like The Grasshopper and The Bulldog. Funny thing is I hooked up with some local girls there, but they weren't smokers -- so I was on my own in terms of finding spots to blaze. I've made quite a few friends from out there and I've been surprised how few of them are actually regular smokers. I'm definitely going back, Barney's and De Dampekring on now officially on the list.

On a related note, I blazed with my cousins in Croatia too. They def did the tobacco-weed combo joints. I wasn't really impressed with the buds out there, but the women and the beaches more than make up for it.
