Papabear Says

Zeke wanted Nichols he wouldn't have picked him up if he didn't. Dolan wouldn't sign off on getting rid of Jerome James. We had no room for him.

Papabear

And that's Dolan's fault?

there are no Isiah homers left

D-Nich was a great pick, but what a waste that we showcased him for the Cavs
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Panos - the rear view mirror is always convenient.

James was coming off a nice run in the playoffs with another DNP from last night (Kurt Thomas) at center.

what, you had a better idea?

c'mon, big snacks is comic relief and will block a critical shot in March to win a crucial game that determines the Knicks inevitable push to the playoffs.

You could look it up.

Rear view mirror? I and others at the time were displeased with the signing.
Just because YOU have to rely on your rearview mirror to understand that it was a bad move, doesn't mean everyone else does. If you stop to analyze moves OBJECTIVELY instead of giving Isiah a freakin' pass on everything he does, perhaps you would have seen it too.

Panos - where did this conversation degenerate into me giving Isiah a free pass?

We were talking about Big Snacks. Not the totality of roster moves since Junior Layden.

Days of Our Lives

just to be perfectly clear Panos. The only thing I have EVER been is an advocate for is the same four years Layden received to hasten the downturn of my beloved franchise.

Just because I don't waste time picking boogers over every single deal doesn't indicate a "free pass" for Zeke.

I liked Nichols. He's gone. I'm over it.

You show me a GM with a perfect record of transactions and I'll give you Beyoncee's digits.
All I'm intetested is better Knicks baskeball in 2007-08 and I'm not prepared to offer my hoops knowledge as superior to ANYONE.

I didn't say anyone was perfect. I know they are not.
I just question why you are not willing to criticize Isiah for his obvious mistakes.
You're rosy lensed glasses confound me.

Panos - Isiah has made some obvious mistakes. (insert your favorite here)

He has also transformed a moribund aging roster into a bunch of compelling yoots. At last check 8 of 'em could play a lick and will only get better with maturity, learning the refs names and discovering the better restaurants around the league.

Hey, opening night is one day away. Am I going to rehash the overly rehashed?

Hell naw.

I'm going up in the attic to find my Trent Tucker Game Face, dusting the bad boy off and getting a bag of Crunch n Munch to go along with my Barq's Root Beer.

I'M SPARTACUS!!!!

Fine, if you don't want to rehash the past don't.
But don't then sit there and defend the signing by saying JJ had a great postseason, yada-yada.
You didn't opt out of the discussion, you willingly joined in after I responded to Papabear.

The yoots you love so much are not good enuf to take this team to the playoffs.
For the record, I like them too. But part of the reason why then shine brightly for us is because they are in such high contrast to the rest of the bloated roster made up of overpaid underachievers.

This season is the defining moments for Zeke. Cleveland coming of a big loss. They will be ready and you can bet Nicholas will be in the game. This will be a tough game for the Knicks. If they start that playing to the level of the other team when they are down, then we are doomed

is the issue really whether a rookie who just joined a defending conference-champ team at the end of preseason gets minutes in his first regular season games with that team?

I think the get a grip crowd are the ones who grabbed their cyanide tablets when Nichols was waived and predicted how he would do in the Knicks.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
