dj, all you need to know about Mayoral Candidate Chandler is that he's only 20 years old and already has a broader vocal range than the dearly departed Trevor Ariza

and I like(d) Trevor Ariza

then he has my vote. just make sure he doesn't go out marion barry style...

negative? any guy that can get caught on camera with a hooker and a crackpipe and STILL get re-elected deserves to be president. you have him pigeonholed in local government.

Good luck to Channing. I hope he shows more heart and toughness during the rest of his career.

I'll take a young, successful power forward over one that is young and *might* be good one day.

If Channing played more like Lee I might have a different opinion, but he had a shot in New York and didn't take advantage of it.

All he had to do was play hard every night. I didn't see it.

Good trade, even if Frye does improve.

arkrud - do you have an entertaining point about Knicks basketball you are trying to put into English? Preferably something beyond the juvenile if that's okay with you...

ToddTT - playing "hard" is difficult to measure when the major criteria is whether your shot is dropping. I do not consider Channing a lazy ballplayer in the least. The extent to which he impresses the Blazers is only limited by how much he is willing to re-invent and grow his game. Make no mistake, Frye is 6'11 and as intelligent as they come. He will figure it out.

But he's gone and Zach Randolph is a Nyahbinghi warrior of the first order.

Frye was tough in his first year, but his weaknesses stood out then and they became more apparent in his 2nd year. He has feet made of lead and likes to play 15 feet away from the basket. He has a pretty quick release, but he is rendered useless if you are up on him already. He showed some flashes in the post, but needs work down there as well. I think he can be a good layer, but I do not see EC numbers out of him ever. I see him as 15 and 7 which is very good, but not a monster.

Oh, did I mention he wasn't mentally tough enough for this city? I wish him the best and hope and believe he will do well playing next to ODen.

But the sad reality is they are in charge.
So all I have to do is to make as much harm to them as possible all over the Internet

I think you just pigeon-holed Frye game as not hard by referring to his shot falling or not. How about knowing when to take the shot instead of passing a wide-open J? Or not rotating on D when Isiah told him over and over about it? Or get out-worked for rebounds?

Martin - if we're engaging iin a debate over the definition of "playing hard", knowing when to take a jump shot is not an indication of "hard" for me. The jump shot is not employed as my definition of "playing hard" but rather the measure of Frye's effectivemness in many eyes.

To the extent that Frye did not respond to the number of times Isiah told him to rotate on defense I cannot say. I was never within listening distance.

Outworked for rebounds? Rebounding is an art form. If Rodman taught us anything, rebounding is as much about intelligence as it is about athleticism. Frye is no slouch. He was simply traded for a better baller.

I like Frye. He's from White Plains.

Alas, he is also gone.

I judge playing hard by how the player runs the floor, works against defenses, looks for teammates, avoids forcing shots, positions himself for rebounds, takes advantage of open lanes (especially down low), and plays defense with his feet.

If David Lee shot 20% he would still be one of my favorite Knicks. Of course that's not the case with Lee, and no surprise. Do all of the above and high percentage scoring opportunities will come.

I like Frye, and he may become a very good player. I'll be rooting for him.

I never "print a lie" - I am not using my printer to print this site.
I never was "pissing in your pants and typing in this forum" at the same time - this will be difficult.
"pissing in your pants" will be difficult for me by itself.
I never file this site in my files man... And the quote was from BabyKnicks not from you
You were in between "Papabear says".
WOW!!! Now we have some conversation...
It is not a big thing to sell out the Garden -Steph has so many cousins...
