and now all of them are together...vdesai said it, they are the most compelling team of the season and i think alot of fans will start pulling for when the playoffs come.

Seriously, I wish I were a Celtic fan right now. It must feel great.
I don't care about the depth issue. These 3 guys are COMPETITORS and
are going to win ball games. The complement each other tremendously.
All they need is adequate players for the remaining 2 spots, stay healthy,
and they're a lock for the finals. It's the staying healthy part that will
be the biggest challenge.

it looks like kg will be going to boston. absolutely nuts.

How can a player under contract agree to extension not in the final year of the contract. Under the CBA this isn't allowed.

Screw that. He is a Celtic. Screw Bird, McHale, Parish, Ainge and all those 80 Celtics (I hate them the worst). I am a Knicks fan I don't want to deal with any of them as well. What's wrong with you? How can any Knick fan like the Celtics?

I agree with you there I hate the Celtic more than any team in basketball whether they are good or bad I can't stand the Celtic never will like them. I'm not gonna anoint the Celtics the champions no way I still like my KNicks chances this year.

Besides this is a friendship trade and this is why I think the NBA is fixed. Maybe Joe Dumars will give Isiah Hamilton and Billups this is crazy bull****.

BECAUSE I AM A KNICK FAN. I don't give a crap what team my GM played for.
He just has to be effective at building our team.
By that logic, why would I want a former Piston to be a GM of my team?
The bad boy Pistons were HATED by Knicks fans. Or have you conveniently

MJ, Bill Laimbeer, or Reggie Freakin' Miller if they could do a good job at it.

past teams players above your hope for a future good team of the Knicks.

They're so wrapped up in their hate they don't put the Knicks ahead of their hatred. At least when it comes to the bottom line, my hatred for Isiah and some of the players he's acquired is based on their incompetence and inability to produce for the Knicks.

I hate Isiah as much as the next guy but I think that ultimately it works out that we didn't make a play for KG. The cost would have been very heavy - Curry, Lee, Craw, Balkman, a 1st rounder... - and we would have had to win with Marbs, Q-Rich, Jeffries, Zach and KG. That lineup can't get it done from the perimeter - its an "all in" move leaves us in shatters both for the future and in the present.

Boston appears like it will have some trouble, atleast the first year. They have neither the depth nor the PG savvy to run. So, its a half-court team - with a shooting deficiency at the point guard position, excellent high post passing, championship-level pick and roll options, good rebounding and average perimeter defense. The bottom line is that there are parts that still need to be added. They need to look hard for competent back-ups at nearly every position; Dikembe Mutombo, Chris Webber, Matt Barnes, Jalen Rose, Ruben Patterson, PJ Brown, James Posey, and Austin Croshere are some targets. Smush Parker is someone they could have used.

So, its hard to predict - if they strike out with all of these players, its just a flashy team that makes the playoffs but can't endure the regular season grind. If they can sign a group of these guys, I can see them winning a championship.

I am boo-hooing this trade. First because the Celtics make a big move to become a contender. Second because IT is gonna get reactionary. Third because I really like the Celtics team, as-built. If they pick up a vet PG and either Perkins or Kandi step up, they have enough talent to destroy the east. I don't think Rondo or West can really handle the point in Boston, but there are plenty of PGs available. Brrr.... its gonna be a long winter.

Depends on which third... Clearly the third that owned the rights to Artest, JO'Neal, Garnett et al bothers me. BTW, how do we know they won't deal with IT...maybe IT won't deal with them...he seems like a guy who might shut certain people out and not talk to them... (well, at least if they are HOF coaches formerly employed by the Knicks).
