I think Wilson Chandler is a smoke screen for Sean "Smokin'" Williams but I don't think he will be there at #23.

Looks like he may have a promise from the Wizards. He doesn't get pass NJ and I think the Knicks know that as well (collusion workouts) so I don't think he is really on their radar anymore. Who knows.

dj - I had a chance to meet Vernell. Seemed like nice fellow. But he was only a "working class man's Erick Strickland"

Hey bro, did I mention I crossed paths with Yoakim Noah yesterday after work?

Tall dude.

there was a 1-on-1 college ppv tournament before the 1991 nba draft. participants included gary payton, bo kimble, lionel simmons, chris jackson, bimbo coles, willie burton among others. the winner of the tournament was bo kimble (who beat payton in the finals). but when they introduced bimbo coles, he looked at the camera and said "are you ready for bimbo ball?" he sealed his nba fate with that one statement.

noah would look lovely wearing the orange and blue...

Looks like Williams and his agent pissed off Grunfeld somehow or vice versa. They wanted him to come and visit them and he refused. Now he is going to workout only for Knicks and Bobcats. Strange fellow. I think he is mum about the weed stuff so I guess he is ticking off GMs. NJ will be present at the Knicks workout.

From what we’re told, Williams is now scheduled to secretly fly to two select NBA cities to meet the coaching staff and work out in front of their front office—New York and Charlotte. The Knicks (picking 23rd) will be joined by the New Jersey Nets (picking 17th) as has become custom this year, followed by the Bobcats (picking 22nd) later this week. At least one team drafting in the mid-first round believes that the Knicks have zeroed in on selecting either Williams or Daequan Cook at this point. - Draftexpress.com

Ditto, my very savvy DJSU! If that crazy-haired mo-fo drops to low lotto (<10), Isiah better use Frye and Nate, Balkman, Party Mardy, Randy Morris (not all but in some) combination and the #23 to try go out and get the son of tennis great, Yannick Noah. The dude LOVES the Knicks and the GARDEN would love him! He would instantly become the fan fave...and he works very well next to Mr. Untouchable...He is "avid Lee" with the "D."

We don't need no stinkin' SF with no discernible skills and only athleticism.

Shouldn't Sean's nickname be Puffy.

Who is Wilson Phillips? I know it was a typo but it was a Freudian slip. Were you thinking about:

In the Big East last year--he shot 50% in a game only 3 times out of the 16 games a and was
82/209 from the field 39%

including 11/49 from college 3 or roughly 20% and 63% from the FTL

he did have double-digit rebounds 6 out of 16 games and scored 20 points 2 out of 16 games.

Non-descript player who doesnt shoot very well--didnt have an effect on his team in terms of winning % because they did have 2-3 pretty good other guys

YO, its joke- I know its Wilson Chandler (aka Tyson's lil bro - J/K)...Wilson Phillips is the girl group in the 80's that sang that song "Hold On." I believe they are the daughters of Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame. The heavy chick had that stomach stapling surgery and got all skinny, but here is the pic of them when they were super-popular on Z100.

Man I was blasting them all today on my computer. My co-workers were jamming along. Normally it is an uptight office but Wilson Phillips got us to relax today.

i think he is like verajao after using his $100 starbucks gift certificate.

if noah drops, we should do everything we can to move up. i think he's exactly the type of PF we need next to eddy.

djsu - Noah would be an early Christmas gift to compliment the in-season gift of Randolph Morris. What the heck, I'd go ALL YOOT and run those two with David Lee, Renaldo Balkman and Mardy Collins.

whadyagotta lose?

I rather have Sean Williams or Lasme over Noah. Williams is a better shot blocker than Noah for his size and Lasme is a better rebounder and defender for his size. Noah does have intangibles that neither of those two have though. It's funny, almost everyone is clamoring for Lee to start but we all want to draft another PF. Like Isiah said "Something not right here." Maybe Chandler or Cook makes sense for this team (guys with star potential that needs time to develop like in the NBDL).

If that smarmy Isiah can sneak David Lee with the 30th selection...

imagine what surprises his number 23 selection holds.

I don't have a lot to substantiate it, but I have a sneaking suspicion the pick is gonna be Big Baby Davis.

Can we remind everyone about 7 Channing Frye and 21 Nate Robinson, not going to be major players

When it should have been and this and what Granger/Bynum and Jack which is what a no guru like isiah would have done, and thats not hindsight.

Isiah believes he knows things that we don't, but in reality he has been good but not great with the knicks drafting players. This is a huge selection, and Morris is garbage I don't need to hear we already have a first round pick, because we don't
