Eddy has a right to express his opinion and he did just that...Like it or not Eddy's the new man around here...Knicks need him to be successful at the moment and he see in Isiah some one who motivates him to be better...Eddy has lots of work to do still but reading the article it seems he now believes he should lead the Knicks and take them to the next level...Eddy believes he is the man for the first time in his career and maybe this will make him realize his potential...All said though, can't blame the guy for wanting to keep things in place that has made him a better player....

Until he really asserts himself and drops weight yes he does, he could do it if he was commited....you don't play your way into shape during the season you come in ready especially after the huge dissapointment that he was.....

if he really tried every game he would be average 25pts 12rbs and 2blks no questions asked

I think the important thing with Curry is that he believes for the first time in his career he can be the difference...He said he wasn't ready to take on that burden previously in his life...I hope this means he has a dietitian and a chef...

A few weeks back I was watching a Knicks post game show with Gus Johnson and he said that it will be seen if Curry follows through with excepting the challenge of being like Karl Malone...Gus thought he would...So maybe it's already in the works where this guy will control his eating habits and just commit to living in the gym...I guess we will see...

"if IT is fired, i want to be traded" isn't an opinion...

i agree with the sentiment that eddy is crucial to this team and can potentially take us where we want to be.

but right now he is the best offensive player on a bad team in a bad conference- the kind of weight you're giving him is as yet undeserved. and if he feels that the team's first 2 game winning streak in months vindicates his career at all, then wow. the quotes on their own don't necessarily suggest that, but the malik rose article a few days back definitely puts those remarks by curry in a more troubling context for the team. remember that article? i'll try to find it if people don't.

i personally think he went too far, but whatever, it's not like it was a press release or something, it was a top-of-the-head response.

Queenie - no. He holds a voice card

I'd prefer we ship him to Siberia with a phone card, if that.

TrueBlue - if it is so sickening, why do you even bother?

Because he's a fan of the orange and blue not a suck up coach

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

And I thought players and coaches are not supposed to use the media to voice internal issues. Oh NO...a violation of the sacred policy. You would think Isiah cured all ills of society, reformed our health care system and restored order among Sunni and Shiite groups.

ISIAH the SAVIOR...GOD Save the ZEKE!

A) We won three in a row last month. Don't practice Truthyness!!!

B) Where did he say his career is vindicated?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The weight I'm giving him??...The Knicks are playing .500 for close to three months now...Because of this, ticket sales are up and largely due to Eddy's play...You may not recognize this but I bet Dolan does...

A) that true? maybe should have said "over a month," was paraphrasing what i'd heard/read recently. my bad.

B) look, i said specifically that i don't think *what he said* was that bad. notice "if he thinks"... i don't think the comments are a big deal. they make me slightly uneasy, but they matter a lot less than his performance from here on out. i was just trying to put my finger on what those comments made me fear *could be* happening.

any other comments from my last post? especially RE: malik rose? that was the main point i wanted to get across...

so you're saying he can be the best player on a .500 team? that he can sell tickets? or are you *assuming* that he'll be more than that? how much, for him and the team? that's what i meant by "weight."

what about the malik rose comments from before? am i the only person that thinks they tie in to this eddy thing?

and once again, i'm not attacking eddy. his comments make me slightly uncomfortable, but it's how he plays in our next game and every game after that that really matters.

bitty - STFU

Your angry little man. Inevitably when your making veiled threats on mangement or "proclaiming yourself the best point guard" on a team that is 6 games under .500 and hasn't won a playoff game in over 6 seasons you will look like an idiot.

Well if you fire IT, Curry would be a prime candidate for a trade regardless. I mean Curry is IT's main thing. You only fire IT if you don't think Curry can develop into a franchise player, that is you can't trade around him.

So I don't think this is surprising. And I don't think its that big of a deal either.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Angry? Nah, it's strictly for entertainment puposes only.

Little man? Bitty, you better check yo'self before you wreck yo'self...

Bitty - so what if Marbury gave an inflated assesment of himself?

How long ago was that anyway?

Why are such comments a punishable offense that bear repeating at every slice of an opportunity?

And, while you're at it.... Don't forget Isiah's comments on Larry Bird...

just win baby

Eddy simply raised the bar of performance for himself

If he's feeling more confident, I don't see a problem. Isn't having the confidence to speak up a part of being assertive?

Eddy has been labelled as passive and the minute he asserts himself it's "get back in your place fat boy!"

It's all good?
