So, same old Knicks. What's the excuse this time? Oh I know, we were tired. That is why we lost to another tired team, who just happens to own the worst record in the NBA, and traded their best player away.

Nice, real nice. IT is doing such an awesome job. He is really the man. We have young players. Yey!
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

But what players look tired to you? You're being very vague and make a sweeping statement.

Yes, you should really only bother posting things that you can back up with solid evidence. For instance, that Marbury didn't have it tonight because he doesn't like playing with Francis.

I have to wonder if TrueBlue has ever played basketball to the point of exhaustion before. Your legs the next day can be just jello. And you are never on top of your game when you don't have your legs underneath you. That is not an "excuse," it's a biological fact.

These are pros yes, but they are also coming off 3 straight games when each of the top 5 played balls out for most of the game due to shortened rotation, including an OT and double OT game. (You want to say Philly's tired too, why don't you compile the minutes per game of their top 5 over the past few games and compare to NY.) Frankly I was expecting an exhausted bunch last night against Chicago, but much to my surprise and to their credit they pulled that one out. If this stinker was the price we had to pay for the previous 3 wins, I'll take it gladly... let's see what they do after the break.

That doesn't mean I like Frye and Lee any less

win or lose, you stay behind your guys

unless, like simrud, you pounce on their struggles and revel in them

Actually I was being facetious when discussing Marbury's play. I will never make an excuse for him and seriously stand behind it because IMO he's just a terrible point gaurd who's too moody and stupid to be depended on night-in-night-out. Jamal, Balkman, (Lee, Steve & Frye,(in stretches) looked good. Let me ask you this being a 1-1/2 game out of first wasn't enough motivation to beat the worst team in the East and second worst in the league, who's equally tired? Kind of interesting still if he doesn't bring it this team loses and often loses badly. The price we pay for watching the BEST POINT GAURD in the NBA.

Marbury played 10 minutes

His knee has been ailing and will not improve on a back-to-back

We desperately need a leadership guard

His knee may be hurt he reached for it during the Bulls or Charlotte game during a timeout. He was still balling fairly decently those games and hit a couple deep jump shots tonight.

BTW he played 25min total and maybe 10 in the second half but that was due moreso to the game being a blowout.

Not a good game, not a good game at all. I seriously can't get a true reading on this team, when you go out one night and handily beat a very good team like the Chicago Bulls and then the next game get handily beat by a very bad team like the 76ers, it just makes it impossible to figure out what this team really is.

This is mediocrity at it's best folks.

did anybody notice the seamless transition by andre miller into the sixers rotation? iguodala in the post game said it was the easiest night of his life (scoring wise). being a point guard and running an offense shouldn't be so difficult. if we're building around jamal, frye, curry, and lee - we sorely need someone to just get them ball and run the offense aka a floor general.

there were many factors working against us tonight: road game, fatigue, new buzz with new teammates in philly. but those shouldn't apply as excuses b/c of the simple fact that the sixers are not as good as we are (or should be). good teams find a way to win games like this but prior to the week, if you asked everyone they would go 3-1 over these 4 games, i think many fans would take it.

Miller is going to help that team. He makes his teammates better, not at the Nash, Kidd level but the next level. Philly has some talent otherwise. Webber will be the happiest now and Joe Smith can still play a bit.

As for the Knicks last night, it was disappointing although not unexpected. I hoped for more but alas, the mental toughness is not there yet.

JJ2 comes back, Francis is back, the team is no longer in neeed of bodies. Now they need to set their goal to get to .500 It is in reach.
