I don't like the offense that Isiah is oing to run when guys like Channing(at least I think), Curry, Craw, Steph, Francis seem better suited for more of a half court game.

See, that is where I disagree, I think all of those guys will thrive in an uptempo style.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Here is why I think so. Francis, Steph, and Craw are more one on one break your man down type of players who don't seem to make the best decisions in transition. Curry's conditioning is always a question(like I said-maybe he needs to get in the 275 range to be able to play 35 minutes a game). Channing's main strength is his jumper or his little baby hook that is best utilized in a half court set.

We got guys who are better in transition(Nate, Lee, Balkman, Q, Jefferies) but I think our best players are more half court oriented.

I think that their supeior athletic ability and breakdown skills will translate quite well to a faster style.

All those guys have to do is trail on the break (Cury for a Jam, Frye for a short jumper or a finish at the rim.) and make sure they cut to open spots when the defense shifts and they will be quite effective.

As someone else said, I think our uptempo offense is not going to be based so much on fast breaks. I think we are merely going to execute our offense quicker. Instead of pounding the ball inside and using up 24 seconds of the shot clock, we are going to get down the court and move right into our offense and try to get shots off early in the shot clock. We will break more than last year, but I don't think IT believes we are going to become the Suns. We will be more like Suns-lite. We have depth so you might as well try to keep the pace of the game fast and force the other team to adjust. Our second unit will be more talented than almost every other second unit in the league.
