yeah they have great playmakers but most goals are scored from the forward position so ronaldo & adriano have to dominate if they're gonna win it all

Did anyone see the end of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia? Saudi's score in the 84th minute to take the lead, but Tunisia ties it in the 93rd after the Saudis nearly scored to go up 2 goals. WOW!

And how they deserved it!!!!!

Dont get me wrong the polnish team was fighting well, the loss against Equador was never the right messurement for this team. But Germany had so many great chances it!!!!!!!!!!!

Philip Lahm now had two unbelieveble games so far!!!!
I dont like Klinsmann at all but he definately made a great substitution when he took out Friedrich for Odonkor!!! This guy has allways been a superior sprinter!!!

LOVE IT!!!!!!!

By the way Spain was really impressive today against an Ukrainian team many thought to be a greatly talented team!!!!

Tomorrow Im hoping for Trinidad and Tobago to do it again against England!!! (Sorry firefly but i got to chear for the underdog and they made such a great effort against Sweden!!!)
Sweden against Paraguay will also be a very interesting game to watch with two different systems battleing!!!!

Rooney is 100% fit to play today, according to indipendant medical consultants flown in specially to check on him. He won't start, but hopefully we will see him at some point.

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Englands looking good. I wanted to see Rooney play the whole time! Cant wait!

Anyone check out the Ecuador game? Man, they owned Costa Rica. They look like that toughest team in that division. You guys are in trouble dodger78. Better watch out for Ecuador.

I agree...Ecuador is looking very strong. They were supposed to be a time that only played well at home in their high altitude, but they have played extremely well in their first 2 games.

I dunno, England looked pretty mediocre in their opening match. Now former colony, severe underdog, and one of the surprises of the WC, T & T, next. Should be an interesting match to watch for all those reasons and more. I expect England to come out stronger today, and hopefully we'll see Rooney at some point in the match.

Yesterday's games were great, btw.

As for the US Team what a disasterous start they had...ugh. A lot of people want to blame Donovan or Beasley but it was practically everyone, including Keller who seems to have gotten a get out of jail free card for the 3-0 thumping. He misplayed one of the goals and his goal kicks were almost always to the defenders.

I did not like Bruce Arena's tactics of having 1 forward either. The Czechs had ZERO pressure in the back to contend with so they were able to push up more...hence the 3 goals. The US players first touches were also mostly atrocious. I know we don't have the most skilled ball dribblers, but c'mon, you can't give away the ball on nearly every first touch with a bit of pressure from the defence. Now it's a must win against the Italians who looked good in their opening match and are now completely healthy, when they had several key injuries to deal with in their opening match...not like we took advantage of the Czech's injuries. A win is going o be some TALL order, but you gotta have some hope huh?

Equador looked quiet good so far but Im not sure if Germany is in "trouble". I dont think Equador has been contested yet, the polish team really looked bad on their first game, Costa Rica is ... well Costa Rica.

Still Germany will have to prove against Equador, that they can come a long way in this tournament. I feel confident they will win and secure the first place in their group.

I really look forward for both games in group B now!!!!!

England is playing like crap in the first half so far!!! You should think that with a midfield as skilled as theirs they would find a better way to enter the penalty area than those bad crosses form the half field!!!!

Posting from the pub, where I won the lottery for best seat in the house, free gallon of beer and bucket of burgers. The whole pub is screaming for Rooney after seeing Crouch fluff the best chance of the half. England not penetrating. COME ON ROONEY! He has to come on at half time. Its going crzy here.

A fantastic final 10 minutes for England. Crouch finally scores after blowing numerous opportunties, and Gerrard puts in away in stoppage time. T&T went about 175 minutes before allowing a goal this tournament!

That play by Terry to save a goal in the first half was huge. Lennon came in and gave England a boost.

After the first round of games being played, id say Spain propably impressed me the most.

Best game is still Argentinia against Ivory Coast.

Most surprising team for me T&T.

Most disappointing performence - Brasil. Even though i got to admit that Croatia played a great game and expectation on Brasil were high.

Im love the fact, that so many goals are scored from outside the penalty area. Even though it is due to the new ball.
