Nothing like a good woman who could throw down some good curry goat bro...

You know at first I thought this was a good thread but I'm beginning to change my mind...By humanizing you guys, it makes me want to be civil and nice to folks....I think I'm losing my edge...
Don't tell me I have to be nice to fishmike now that I know he is the guy who gets me back online after systems malfunction...I'm not going to bend....

Marbury sucks, he's a phony and anyone who likes him is an idiot!

Does that get your edge back?

I know what the rest of you are thinking... DJ is a close second.

Actually, what I'm thinking is:

Did this guy just inadvertently tell us that he thinks DJ is sexy?

i sure hope codeunknown has a Y chromosome somewhere inside "her".

DJ you know full well codeunknown has a Y chromosome - a really long Y chromosome.

I'd also like to point out that the scar on that man/woman/creature's right hand is repulsive. I don't want to toot my horn but, other than that, there's a striking resemblance.

Nothing like a pickup line like "Can you cook Curry Goat?" to woo a women!

For people from the West Indies, there is nothing more romantic than that line.

Great thread.

I'm a mid 30s head hunter working in Tokyo. Used to work for a global charity organization based in NY/Tokyo/Melbourne/etc as a fundraiser, then for Citibank as operations manager (funny where life takes you). Born in Japan, lived in NY (Westechester & Buffalo), Hamburg, Toronto, Melbourne, Sydney, and now back in Tokyo. Single with a lovely wife-to-be enjoying life here in Japan.

My hobbies are scuba diving, fishing, tennis, wood carving, practicing chi, cooking. Am a buddhist, singer, healer, environmentalist.

Big fan of the NYK & Yankees for the past 20 yrs. GO NEW YORK!

I'm 36 yrs old, i've been in the US MARINE CORPS since 1987 and my M.O.S. is an Avionics Engineer, i will be retiring in 2007 ( If Bush lets me ). I also used my G.I. Bill to go to school to be a registered nurse in 1998. My goal was to be retired from the military before i turn 40 yrs old ( i will retire at age 38 ). My secondary goal is to retire as a civilian ( registered nurse ) by age 51 to have a duel retirement and NOT WORRY ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY going in the toilet due to Bush screwing up the country !!! I am a Trauma Operating Room Nurse down here in Memphis, TN ( stationed in Memphis as well )

Silver, if you go, you gotta go to Kyoto! The MOST amazing place. The Allieds agreed not to bomb it in WWII because the spirituality and holiness everywhere there is just overwhelming. Plus you can stay in a ryokan for good prices, have 2 maids serve you your meals in your room, practically spoon feed you and giggle at your mispronunciations! Then off to the communal bath! The Shinkasen from Tokyo is awesome, unreal views of the country and had the best bento box of my life on it.

Thats actually the only place I want to go. I am not that much about Tokyo but I want to go to Kyoto cause of its historic significance in the Japanese Civil War etc. Mainly because of Rurouni Kenshin [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rurouni_Kenshin]

P.S: Marv, seems like you know a lot about the place. You mind if I email you before I plan my trip? Also, Mr. Moderator, when are you going to get some time to tell me about Scotland?

‘Maid in Japan’ cafes treat geeks like lords
Girls dressed in frilly frocks wait hand and foot on male customers

HA!!!! This was me - a geek treated llike a lord!

Check this out - I was armed with a working vocabularly of about 10 Japanese words - yet I wouldn't acknowledge being American when these annoying American tourists tried to talk to me on a bus in Kyoto! I kept saying "Su mi ma sen?" to them - which means "Excuse me?" Marv gone native!!

P.S: Marv, seems like you know a lot about the place. You mind if I email you before I plan my trip?

Definitely email me. I can go on like a girl dressed in a frilly frock when it comes to talking about Kyoto!

Hey Silver are you planing to visit Munich? We could meet for some of that traditional beverage here! And talk some Knicks!!!

OAK you got any hints on the job availability for German market research consultants in Tokyo?!? Ill do nearly anything!!!
Im working on my dissertation, which is an intercultural comparisson between the german and japanese youth and I plan to move there for a year or so. As I want to concentrate on my own research, Id have to work something like 25h a week and still earn enough for some cheap living! Any chances for that?!?
It would be great if you could give me some advice!!! Thanks!!!

By the way great thread!!!!!!
