Hey I agree with wanting a player who brings energy and intencity to the Knicks. A player like that could really energize the team. But just not Kmart. He is to much of a risk not only with his injuries and contract, but because of his attitude as well.

If he works out are we a championship calibre team?? I doubt it.
IF he isn't able to recover from his injury how bad will that hurt us??? He may come back 100% he may not. But the % of him not recovering 100% mixed in with his contract just is to much. Its not like Kmart is a one of a kind player. He isn't even a great rebounder or shotblocker. Id prefer targeting Gadz & Evens. Or using the draft for a big who plays with energy and hustle.

this thread is an informal poll on the general consensus on whether or not you'd be willing to take the risk in bringing KMart here for the crap we can get him for (either a big contract, or for Mo T or Jalen)... it's not that hard to have an opinion on this... if you don't care to voice yours, no one's pulling your leg... if it'll make you feel better, i'll take ur name off the list.

Just based on what you wrote I didn't even realize you were joking. Anyway, it's cool, I'm generally in the camp opposed to K-Mart, but I just don't feel comfortable saying definitively yes or no, unless I know what's on the table.

come on man... there's not a player in the league outside of maybe Kobe & Tim Duncan that will make this team a championship contender, & i'm not even certain either of those guys would solve all our problems... this is about changing the culture here, the gutless play of the Knicks in recent years has really eaten away at the pride i used to feel rooting for this team... i want some guys who are intense, guys who play the game w/aggression... that's why i like watching Nate & David Lee on the floor... we need more players w/that type of mindset... KMart's not the savior & i'm not even looking at him in that light... but for what we can get him for, i think it's worth the risk... if DEN wants any of our young talent or any draft picks, i tell them to take a hike.

that's cool man... it's natural to have misgivings over this guy... his attitude, contract & health issues are a big concern... just that in our current situation, i don't mind taking the risk of losing Francis, Marbury or 1 of our deadweight players... none of those guys are going to help this franchise in the future, i'm resigned to that fact... mine as well take a chance on a guy who might.

I'd like to change my manup to if we keep LB I will trade Steph or Francis for KMart, since Dolan seems to worry about how much extra it would cost to trade for KMart as opposed to just firing LB.
