Can't front on a 16-0 December and 17 game winning streak.

They have at least 1 player heavily in the Scussin not sure what Sekou's Ladder is lookin like but I'd wager some names have switched a few places.

The Knicks are only 3-3 without Carmelo Anthony but yet we're 20-7 with Melo Anthony leading the way.

He's our team MVP without question. And yes, he's missed 6 games, but he's putting up MVP numbers without question.

If Melo stays healthy during the final 49 regular season games and our Knicks land a top two seed of the Eastern Conference? He's contending for this award.

Not only are we 20-7 under Melo, but he's currently averaging 29.3 points, 6.3 boards, 2.1 assists while shooting .477 from the floor. Only averaging 2.4 turnovers per game.

I've said it once and I'll continue to state this, but Melo's our greatest all-around Knick since Patrick Ewing of his prime years. Not even Ewing could score at Melo's clip. A phenom scorer Melo is. One of the greatest pure scorers to ever play this game. It's amazing to watch on a nightly basis.

I know I already posted this but hell, thought I might update this thread while I'm at it :D

How's this for MVP numbers:

40 points (14/29) from the field, (4/9) for 3 and (8/9) from the line

6 rebounds

6 assists

1 steal

1 turnover

+7 in the game

I think people need to start appreciating seeing Melo play for the Knicks if they don't already. The guy has been spectacular. Most, if not all criticisms of him in the past just aren't applicable through 33 games.

He's had some very good games but he's still 5th on my MVP Big Board. James Harden closing rapidly on many.

Only guys ahead of Melo arguably should be James and Durant. And I have Melo #2 behind James. Kobe has an all start team around him and they're still not good. Who do you have ahead of Melo? 5th???

All in all I don't think Paul deserves to be ahead of Melo.
As good as he's been, Melo for me is a clear #3, Durant and James are rightly 1 and 2 at the moment, but the only other player who can break that is Melo.
Kobe could if the Lakers had a better record, and I don't have anything against Paul, I'd love him on the team, but to me Melo > Paul easily.

If Melo gets it, it will come the way Derrick Rose got his.....gotta have the number one seed first and foremost.

ONe thing that may help Melo in the race is Felton's injury. With Felton out Melo has to take more ball handling duties and with Amar'e back he always tries to get him established.

I don't get why Bryant is ranked so high although his team doesn't have a winning record, meanwhile not acknowledging players on teams with winning records who have surpassed expectation.

Yes Kobe is having a career year but so what, that's why he was lower on my list.

So what gives with Kobe? When I see him ranked high it totally blows up what the supposed criteria should/would be. Can't have it both ways folks although we always try to on this forum.

No comparison really, there isn't especially since the Knicks are 3-3 without Melo + more. It's evident we have a fairly deep team when utilized meanwhile the Bulls were not deep when they were missing Noah/Boozer, although they played hard and were coached well.

Many agree Rose's MVP was somewhat overrated especially in hindsight and what many analyst failed to do that season was look at what the Bulls did whether he had a good or bad game.

I don't watch the lakers much but I watched the game last night because I didn't have to stream it and I wanted to see the clips. A couple of bad signs despite Nash being back. Pau is taking long jump shots still. Kobe is shooting way too much. I thought Howard and Jordan hill both looked good.

I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
